Would Zidane's wedding really have been arranged so quickly? They only got engaged last week so surely it would have taken longer to arrange the wedding even without employing "wedding planner supreme" Michelle's services.
Also the female copper made me laugh when she said Aiden should be charged with interfering with a police investigation. Aiden's not interfering, he's doing your job for you because you're so useless love. Does anyone know where are the happy couple going to live? ![]() And how mean not to invite Alya. |

What is crazy in this storyline is that a murder charge has be lain so quickly without a body, that the evidence doesn't add up, and still the police have no interest in locating the 'victim'. We have heard nothing of their search for a body at all, and now they have no interest in checking CCTV on an alleged sighting.

Exactly. Where I live there's a waiting list of a couple,of years although Sally did say she had,to pull a few strings.
Are they intent in making all of the characters dishonest? They're not setting a good example are they? ![]() should be called ho lie oaks |

Zeedan's speedy wedding arrangements were just daft. As was calling it off the day before and then rearranging it again on the day.

Rana referred to the civil ceremony they have yet to have, so I take it this was a kind of ceremonial, religious wedding which isn't legal marriage, though obviously they consider themselves married.

The video camera has not been invented in the alternate world of CS. This has got to be one of the worst CS stories ever. CS is actually worse under K.O.

I know of others who are Hindu who have had the civil ceremony before the religious wedding. But I don't know if there is a set precedent for which comes first in either religion.

I think the nearest to Weatherfield would be at Risley, still in Cheshire, the part that was stolen from Lancashire when it was carved up in the Seventies,,but that wouldn't be good enough for Councillor Metcalfe, VIP. |

The CPS decide whether to press charges, they do not convict and they do not make bail decisions.
It was crazy to think that Maria could just be let out though. The solicitor has to return to Court and the Court would decide whether charges could be dropped completely, or whether sufficient doubt had been cast to grant bail. It usually takes at least a few days for a solicitor to get a hearing set up in these circumstances. As she has already been remanded on the previous 'evidence', he can't go back til he has something new, and what they have so far (an alleged sighting of the 'victim' alive and well by Maria's biggest fan) probably isn't enough. What is crazy in this storyline is that a murder charge has be lain so quickly without a body, that the evidence doesn't add up, and still the police have no interest in locating the 'victim'. We have heard nothing of their search for a body at all, and now they have no interest in checking CCTV on an alleged sighting. 1. They can't afford to reinstate the set previously used for past murder cases where residents have been falsely accused and/or literally have got away with murder. 2. The writers really can't think of a credible reason for Maria to be remanded without bail (not that has ever stopped them before). 3. They can't afford extras and actors to play roles requiring speaking parts. If anything would stop me from continuing watching the show it's this farce of a s/l, plus the Zeedan/Rana wedding on/off/on business. I presume I dropped off again last night as from reading the forum, it appears it's back on and I missed it, so again thanks Forum people for keeping me up to date. |

Best lines of last night from the female useless detective:
After Aiden said he'd seen Caz, "Can you give us a detailed description of the person you saw?" Aidan, "Looked like Caz, walked like Caz, was Caz." "Facts please." "Next time leave the investigating to us." What investigation?? In real life if you saw caz like that you would lay low and observe, take pictures with your phone AFTER you had called the police to let them go in and catch her, hopefully covering exits to stop her scarpering. Also, how fast was he connected to the police! !!!! |

I just watched last nights double fest again and was amazed how much I missed.
Silliest throw away line eliciting no reaction: Faye: "I had a baby you know". SOMEONE REMEMBERED! And I do realise this should be on the anti SOR thread.

I presume we have never seen any scenes of a court appearance or any valid reasons for the murder charge for the following reasons:
1. They can't afford to reinstate the set previously used for past murder cases where residents have been falsely accused and/or literally have got away with murder. 2. The writers really can't think of a credible reason for Maria to be remanded without bail (not that has ever stopped them before). 3. The engagement and the on/off/on again wedding was done and dusted very quickly. What does Rana see in that bit of kid, immature Zeedan anyway? He looks and acts so much younger than her. Wasn't there some aspersions cast at Rana some time ago by some blokes in the bistro which came to nothing. Or was it all dream and I just woke up? |

Both Zeedan and Rana looked gorgeous in their wedding attire.
![]() I can't believe the ridiculousness of the Caz/Maria storyline. Such utter nonsense. I mean, yes, there have been cases where a murder charge is pursued without a body, but for goodness sake, it has to be based on more than a couple of dodgy texts and some bloody scissors and a rug. Maria would most likely just be a person of interest, asked not to leave the country, etc., but arrested and jailed with what little evidence they have? |

Or they just cannot be arsed with any semblance of reality whatsoever and just write what they think will be good scenes whether they make sense or not.

No EW, spot on. An attractive man not boy wandered randomly into the bistro for a mini showdown with Rana, never to be seen again. RandZ have become the latest couple with zero chemistry who have been thrown together without time to grow and become believable .

I assume Sally hasn't heard of Maria being at Styal because, given her love affair with Cheshire I would assume she'd head there at a rate of knots!
![]() (I assume your barista is also acting as legal advisor to the Corrie writers - given the "accuracy" of their writing in that respect) sir Kenneth of Barlow often used to be seen walking his pesky little terrier in the area of styal woods, a stone's throw away and is just as pompous and surprisingly small in the flesh but i often wonder why he as a local does not tell the writers that Cheshire is nothing like the Nirvana they like to portray, not just for sally either. |

I guess he's made a decent living as Ken but having done, with one minor exception. nothing else rather exhibits that he is little more than an ensemble actor. |
