Have they been searching rivers, fields, woods, open spaces etc for this supposed dead body? Not to our knowledge. They found some blood on a pair of scissors and on a rug all found within a few metres of the 'perpetrators' home and that was all they needed to convince them that there is a dead body out there somewhere.

Rana referred to the civil ceremony they have yet to have, so I take it this was a kind of ceremonial, religious wedding which isn't legal marriage, though obviously they consider themselves married.

It was daft, though, and why Rana should want to marry sulky boy Zeedan defeats me. It's all been carried out in such pointless haste.

no mention of the prison but the nearest one is at styal in corries's favourite county of Cheshire. surely ken could arrange a visit to maria combined with n outing 'down Cheshire way' now he seems fully recovered.

I assume Sally hasn't heard of Maria being at Styal because, given her love affair with Cheshire I would assume she'd head there at a rate of knots!

I think the nearest to Weatherfield would be at Risley, still in Cheshire, the part that was stolen from Lancashire when it was carved up in the Seventies,,but that wouldn't be good enough for Councillor Metcalfe, VIP.

I presume we have never seen any scenes of a court appearance or any valid reasons for the murder charge for the following reasons:

1. They can't afford to reinstate the set previously used for past murder cases where residents have been falsely accused and/or literally have got away with murder.

2. The writers really can't think of a credible reason for Maria to be remanded without bail (not that has ever stopped them before).

3. They can't afford extras and actors to play roles requiring speaking parts.

If anything would stop me from continuing watching the show it's this farce of a s/l, plus the Zeedan/Rana wedding on/off/on business. I presume I dropped off again last night as from reading the forum, it appears it's back on and I missed it, so again thanks Forum people for keeping me up to date.

In real life if you saw caz like that you would lay low and observe, take pictures with your phone AFTER you had called the police to let them go in and catch her, hopefully covering exits to stop her scarpering.

Blink and you would have missed it. The engagement and the on/off/on again wedding was done and dusted very quickly. What does Rana see in that bit of kid, immature Zeedan anyway? He looks and acts so much younger than her.

I can't believe the ridiculousness of the Caz/Maria storyline. Such utter nonsense. I mean, yes, there have been cases where a murder charge is pursued without a body, but for goodness sake, it has to be based on more than a couple of dodgy texts and some bloody scissors and a rug. Maria would most likely just be a person of interest, asked not to leave the country, etc., but arrested and jailed with what little evidence they have?

No EW, spot on. An attractive man not boy wandered randomly into the bistro for a mini showdown with Rana, never to be seen again. RandZ have become the latest couple with zero chemistry who have been thrown together without time to grow and become believable .

Just as an aside, I have met a number of nurses at their work, can't recall ever seeing one wearing full make-up and lipstick when on duty!

A little attempt at reality would be a refreshing change!

sir Kenneth of Barlow often used to be seen walking his pesky little terrier in the area of styal woods, a stone's throw away and is just as pompous and surprisingly small in the flesh but i often wonder why he as a local does not tell the writers that Cheshire is nothing like the Nirvana they like to portray, not just for sally either.

I recall, a few years back, a drama documentary about the development and early days of Corrie and William Roache was portrayed as being one who thought himself as a cut above the rest of the cast and just doing a few weeks before his "main" career took off.

I guess he's made a decent living as Ken but having done, with one minor exception. nothing else rather exhibits that he is little more than an ensemble actor.

i agree on the first point but i think grisly Risley has not held females on remand for some time and that styal is an all purpose establishment for females over a wide area.

that local government carve up in the 1970s created a fuss for quite a lot, of fuss amongst the former Lancastrians who did not have quite the same snobbery as the good councillor.

the golden rule is that if there is no cow muck on the roads it is not proper Cheshire but there is certainly a lot of bull ship from many residents in certain areas.
