You're probably right, but it seems odd for her to suddenly care about respecting Zeedan's on/off religion now when she hasn't had a problem drinking alcohol or admitting to her past relationships. I also can't really think of a way Zeedan could find out through the doctors. He doesn't visit her at work and if he did, it's confidential information. You'd think that with her being a nurse, she'd know how secure a patient's medical records have to be. It's weird that they've made her tip toe around him like this, I would have thought that if Zeedan was to make a comment about her being on the pill then she'd tell him that it's her body, her choice.

I'm totally 'meh' about the whole Rana and Zeedan thing. Zeedan is just portrayed as a sulky, stroppy, immature, moody teenager and Rana, well, we barely know her. Why should we be bothered about them and their ridiculously speedy, chemistry-free, romance-free, engagement and wedding?

Did she arrange a replacement debit card for him as well for when the one she left him expired? I get a replacement every three years.

No, it's crappy writing and Aiden's a dirty dog. I doubt gaf about hurting Eva he wants to have his cake and eat it. Tbh I don't know why Maria would want to be with Aiden, he wants her to he his bit on the side.

Everyone on the Street with the exception of Mary and possibly Norris, HAS to have a relationship, so regardless of past interaction, if they are in a similar age range couples are thrown together without any time for the audience to see something grow and to buy into the relationship.

I've said many times on this thread the only people I have seen the hint of a connection was David and Kylie and I actually see something between Chesney and Gemma. Sensitively handled, that could actually be a good partnership and a great s/l in getting them together IMHO .. if they go for the long game and allow something to develop naturally for once.

Worst ever recent couplings are

Michael - Gail & Eileen
Kevin/Anna
Chesney/Sinaid
Steve/Michelle
Dev/Erica
Johnny/Jenny

Actually pointless making a list, just ALL OF THEM.

This is one of Corrie's many problems at the moment. The only current relationship that seems to have any chemistry at all is Sally and Tim but then only when the writers can resist using them as comedic numpties. I can't think of any other pairing that feels natural, or that I feel remotely bothered about, including all those above, plus Roy/Cathy, Zeedan/Rana and Nick/Lianne.

I could just about accept Aiden/Eva and Kirk/Beth if it wasn't for the writers insisting on playing up the idiocy factors of Eva and Kirk too.

The lack of believable couples, the plot-holes, the ludicrously accelerated story pacing and interminable character personality changes are more suited to a cartoon than a long-established, professional, continuing drama series.

Excellent charcaterisation used to be a such hallmark of Corrie but not any more and it pains me that we're so unlikely to see such quality pairings as the likes of Stan/Hilda, Jack/Vera or even Alf/Audrey ever again.

Leaving aside the poor writing and production, a major problem with the acting is the production line process because of too many episodes in the week.

A prime example? Tim(othy) and Sally's embarrassingly bad comedy falls - over the chair and while digging - at the allotment.

Rana is lumbered with a moody child for a husband. We're given the impression that while she is his first girlfriend ever, she's had lots of boyfriends.

What a pile of poo Mary having a secret long lost son!

As if that story hasn't been done to death before.

And the usual co-incidental characters being seen - Aiden see Maria and Adam, Nick sees Leanne and Peter.

Yawn!

So why haven't the cops arrested Daniel for the murder of his mother? Do they need to check all the scissors he had in the flat first?

Seriously, though, surely they would have asked him how he was funding himself when he only 15? Surely that fridge full of food didn't last six years?

Why couldn't the story have been that she *is* in touch with him and has been sending money? She doesn't need to have told him where she was. Wouldn't that have been plenty weird enough? We know she's hardly likely to be dead.

I'm wondering about this as well tbh , he seems the type of character to have done it imo

A very big pile of poo considering that when Mary slept with Brendan, Erica asked if it was her first time and Mary said yes!

First time where she consented to sex.

Not an SOR. Entirely reasonable she wouldn't include being raped as her "first time".

Why did she have to leave him at all? He could have just said they had fallen out.

What's with Roy and the sudden sleep-walking?

And they're not legally married anyway until theyve been to the registry office
Have they mentioned that yet?

Yes they did. When they were having their celebrations in the Bistro they mentioned doing the legalities at the register office

Two prat-falls, in the same episode, more or less in the same scene

Never was the term prat-fall more aptly used!

And she is bound to go looking for him, and he is bound to have some kind of character issues

Wasn't he sat in the bedroom he and Hayley shared staring at the side of the bed where Hayley slept and died, so it was a big hint that he doesn't feel right about marrying Kathy or at least that was my take on it.
