I'm from Yorkshire and yes we said lugs for hair tangles and lugoles for ears!
But we called a ginnel a snicket. Around here (South manchester) they call breadcakes barms, I hate asking for a chip barm instead of a butty!
I think language is the one thing corrie do reasonably well. I just wish they had some Polish representation, there are lots of Poles in S Mancchester and it would be good to see it reflected in the show.
