True! But seriously, I do hope that some elements of the story are going to be revisited and not just forgotten about, for example Maria's finances which must have had a heck of a battering following Caz's antics. Okay, so it was fraud but is Maria going to be able to get any of that money back, or is she going to be judged as having some responsibility in how easily Caz was able to steal her identity and impersonate her?

Leanne's walk last night.
Looked like she'd just been hoisted off an elephant's back after a 20 mile trek.

Brian and Mary? Must admit I thought so too!

Along with Roy and Mary, did we really need another incessant babbler?

They must have a special script person for Roy and Mary because they spout all sorts of weird stuff.

i am not sure what the latest situation is with caz and the 'murder' but surely whatever is happening it would be a huge source of discussion is small community with lots of sympathy for maria /criticism of the police etc for days on end. instead there is a slight reference to it - 'let's go shopping to get over it'.

why should any local resident go to the expense of a brew 'to go' from a grotty cafe. i assume they have kettle and brew stuff in their homes and small businesses to make a quick and cheap drink on the spot.

would a middle aged woman like Tracey Barlow really say something like 'i am totally going to have fun tonight'. Americanisms must be more common where the writers live than in the north.

and would a seemingly large multi story in the centre of Manchester really fail to to mark disabled bays properly and have customers caught out accepting a release fee for a illegal clamp so easily. surely there is a more realistic was of getting peter and Leanne together than a delay in a car park and finding old music cassettes.

the pantomime season is in full flow.

SOR is Billy giving up the ministry for someone as untrustworthy as Todd , who he' s only been with a short time. What is he going to do now, live in one of Eileen's bedrooms and work in some crappy job on the Street? Absolute tosh!

All it needed was for the car to not start and a call to Kevin....

Mary in particular, with all her weird quotes, stories and reminiscences whilst staring into space with a captive audience never interrupting her, is now making me totally zone out. It's seldom, if ever, anything to do with the story, more just a scriptwriting cliché to remind us how "cookie" Mary is.....

And Norris who begins everything with I, I, I. (Ah, ah, ah.)

Wouldn't Leanne just have got a ticket rather than a clamp?

Well it's the rules of being on Coronation Street. I am surprised Billy has lasted this long working and living outside of the street to be honest. Not that I think the church will miss him, he has rarely been there recently.

The whole Maria and Caz storyline is sloppy. Characters don't seem to realise that Maria spent about two weeks locked up. Michelle is back chatting to her as normal, even though we got the impression Michelle couldn't give a toss as she was going around trying to be a wedding planner and smiling. Has Maria even interacted with Fiz or Tyrone yet?

Spoiler
It's not very long before Silly Billy returns to the church.

Is that so? Another pointless moment then.

Wasn't there talk recently about Billy possibly becoming a social worker? It's hard to keep up as things are brought up only to be dropped and forgotten.

Yes but I believe only for a very short stint.

Last night's"Tonight" mentioned craft beers. It looks like Newton & Ridley have stopped supplying 't Rovers. Another five minute S/L that went nowhere except to get Tim into home brew.

Thank goodness for that, I half expected to see him working in the kebab shop or something, which would've been downright daft.

Leanne and Toyah are a little bit too young to have been Bros fans. Bros were around for 15 minutes in 1988 when Leanne was 7 and Toyah was 6.

Another good point - for some reason he seems to be doing this even more than usual at the moment!

Roy, Mary Norris and Brian.

How many weirdos do Corrie need?

Then we have the Alahan twins. Cue music from Psycho.

Why is Leanne walking like a cowboy with piles?

Leanne's pregnant acting seems to be walking like she's wet herself. Makes a change from the constant rubbing of the stomach that happens in others soaps I suppose

Jane Danson has children in real life, so why on earth is she portraying a five month pregnant woman's walk as if she'd just got off a horse??
