What a load of crap that ending to the first episode was
![]() Bethany was draped across Gary's bed, fully clothed, flicking through a magazine.......did that really warrant an "OMG what are you doing?" from Faye?! ![]() They could have at least had Bethany change into a bathrobe, or put on one of Gary's shirts |

Gemma - 'it were different in them days weren't it?'
Have the writers ever visited Manchester and listened to a local speak? One writer has her and other characters saying 'it were' and another writer has the same character saying 'it was'. Clueless - no wonder southerners get misconceptions about the North. |

Why would a 16 year old girl have a hip flask? If a teenager was going to drink slyly they would have a bottle squirreled in their bag. Where would she have bought a hip flask from and surely her mother or gran would come across it in her bag etc and where did she fill it from?
Also has Pablo been mentioned re the fake wedding? Is he going to be in court too, or has he just been forgotten? |

The last Panto we went to was not far from the Quay Street Studios and the star got a really rapturous reception for The Big Star.. I wonder why those who thought he was wonderful no longer care very much for Michael Barrymore?
![]() At the beginning of ep 1 when Gemma was filming on her mobile, it was only far enough away to get her head and shoulders. But when we were shown a clip of her it was full length! |

Maria's giving Adam the brush off and guess who turns up?
When Andy was thieving at the bistro, why were Maria and Adam walking past? They had been in the Rovers and Maria doesn't live around there. I really must pay more attention to Corrie because I haven't got a clue what Gary, Faye, Bethany and Sarah were up to. Andy had no trouble stealing from Michael, Gail and the bistro in the past. Now he's gone all moral! What was it that he nicked from the bistro? |

Why is Gemma being tied into this rushed Mary storyline?
I hate it when characters tell other characters not to speak to them again after a break in confidence. Mary will undoubtedly speak to Norris and patch up things by next week! The phone Michelle used to play that clip had bloomin' good speakers! The pub fell silent even with background music... |

And if they are in a budget hotel (presumably as they had to get 2 rooms as well) there aren't any mini-bars in budget hotel rooms. Who is paying for the rooms anyway? If Sarah can get to Leeds at short notice, why couldn't Sarah or Gary have driven there and driven home that night? Faye's Dad is a taxi driver for gawd's sake! Is he shelling out for Faye's share of the hotel room? Couldn't they have done a deal with Tim to taxi them there and back, it'd be cheaper than 2 hotel rooms. |

How long is Liam's Xmas party that several hours later Kirk can still take him down for a' couple of hours'? I've never known a kids party go on for more than two.
And I'm amazed that hair salon is still in business of all staff can skive off on the busiest time of the year? of

The 'long lost family' romanticising of this storyline is making me a bit uncomfortable. Who knows if this chap wants to be found? He may not be remotely interested |

In a single ward?
And Phelan . I'm really annoyed at Corrie . They were building his nasty (but to some residents hidden) persona up nicely and then ONCE AGAIN they over egg the pudding by shoving his neb into every single crevice of dodginess they can concoct . The storyline with him blackmailing thingummy (a character so dull that I can't recall his screen name) is unnecessary . Are they building up a "who shot JR?" storyline ? Anna, Kev, thingummy, Gail and family, all the angry 15k deposit people . All lining up to get him ?![]() Why couldn't they let him bed in, make himself cosy and liked and pretendy reformed ? But no ---------in they go in their big size 12's over thinking the plot lines . I was quite enjoying Phelan simpering his way into the hearts and minds while scowling menacingly into the cameras . Now they've spoiled it . Never heard of less is more ? Pfft

It's bizarre. Really realistic , because as we all know , the NHS is not in crisis . Nope, no sirree . In real life they're sending frail pensioners home in taxis in the middle of the night to try to free up beds , but Phelan gets a private room when he has nothing but a small dressing on his bonce .

He was stealing Tablets which Nick had ordered 4 of (but don't know why) and conveniently 24 had been delivered. Just in time for a blackmail storyline
![]() What sort of company over delivers by 20 and didn't anyone notice when they were delivered? Quote:
What's with all the 'he is so lucky to have Mary as his mum' crap too? Is Mary that fabulous? I thought she was widely thought of as the local weirdo? And have Mary and Gemma even interacted before?
The 'long lost family' romanticising of this storyline is making me a bit uncomfortable. Who knows if this chap wants to be found? He may not want to be found. how many nutjobs/loonies can they get in one SL/scene. Imagine Mary, Norris, Gemma, Sally, Tim, Steve, Brian, Kirk, Sinead, Roy, Dev and the Alahan twins all interacting! There doesn't seem much of anything Christmassy going on in Corrie. Over in EE there were decorations and the pub was full. In Corrie the Rovers was like a morgue. Michelle was just hanging about doing nothing as per usual. Did the bistro have any parties on? Nick and Leanne were just sitting there being really unprofessional by sitting there and having dinner like it wssn't their busiest time of the year! |

How long has Peter been wearing that peacoat. He must have shipped up to Boston in the sixties in it. They didn't produce that quality wear in the knicker factory either then or now that's for sure.

![]() Also tablets aren't cheap, had Nick accidentally paid for 24 or had Nick paid for 4 and the company over delivered? They looked like Apple tablets as well so if the company sent more than what was paid for they must be the most incompetent company in the world. |

What on earth would the Bistro want with 4 tablets? Is it so the waiters/waitresses can type the orders on them?
