Yes that is the same woman.

I think that was a different woman.

As for the new male characters, I am with you on this. They all look the same.

Would both Gail & Audrey really go away forChristmas, it being David & the childrens 1st Christmas without Kylie?
LadyChatterbox

And certainly unlikely Audreh would be away from her business, with her stylist just gone to prison and David looking after two kids during the school hols with no Gail to help. Maybe no one in the street wants their hair doing for NYE?

Why don't Jude and Mary even seem to be considering a DNA test, and why not suggest a visit to SA with Skype in the interim? Does Jude not have any photos of his home or his wife?

And how did NotGavin think he would get away with poisoning Phelan?

No wonder I can't sleep at night!

- Toyah arrives only to leave 5 minutes later to go to meet Peter, no explanation on screen to Leanne

- Sarah finds out about Bethany's crush on Gary, yet no scenes after Bethany runs away/passes out about anything after that

- Aidan not that arsed the "love of his life" is in jail as of the day before. No sign of Kirk or anyone else all episode.

- Jude knows exactly where to come to meet Mary and Norris knew all episode (presumably) yet showed no signs of it

Trash episode.”

So I haven't missed an episode? Because I was really confused.

He doesn't know his father is a child abuser/rapist. Mary made up some cock & bull story about her and his father being in love.

But I agree with all the rest. If you have just met your birth mother after 32 years you wouldn't, after one conversation, decide to ask her to live with you and your pregnant wife whether that home was here or abroad. You would spend months getting to know each other first, catching up on the lost years, getting to know each others likes and dislikes etc.

As has been mentioned how do they know they are even related? First priority should be, before Mary up sticks and moves to another country, a DNA test at the very least.

Maybe he's an imposter, a sort of NotJude if you will?

Nah, that would be so far fetched!

Just why is Phelan still languishing in a hospital bed? It must be well over a week since Andy biffed him over the head. Also, he had a plaster on the left of his bonce last week, but now has a "wound" (possible life changing scar perhaps) on the right!

Re the poison thing. Just how does Phelan know what people are planning and thinking? He's morphing from being a panto villain into being a Bond villain - he's always so far ahead of the game it's getting ridiculous (unless the story demands otherwise, like with Vinny of course)

King Phelan the fantastic, is all knowing and all seeing, though his psychic abilities must have been on the blink when Vinny did a runner with the loot.

For me too many new male characters all in one go. The Barlow brothers, Toya's ex, (is that him watching her arrive?) Jude, and the ex of the homeless "waif" brought to Eileen's by Billy who I assume was lurking in the alley,. I'm totally confused.
PS I haven't seen last nights yet, maybe all will be made clearer, maybe not.

Fiz and Tyrone have probably got one on their mantelpiece the idea being that it will keep Urp and Roobeh away from the fire.

Don't hold your breath. I think I will continue to watch Corrie through a fuzz of wine. That way it sort of just goes over my head and I blame myself for the confusion

"Sorry, Mummy; we're a bit short of cash right now; could you send [a nice large amount of money] to Western Union, for my wife to collect back home?"

Are we brewing a traditional "Rom Scam" scenario?

Needless to say, when it all goes wrong, as it most surely will, you can bet your mortgage that it'll all be Norris's fault

Good point about Nathan getting to the phone box to spy on Shona and Billy before they got there. How did he know where Billy lived or where Billy was going in order to spy on them from the opposite corner?

The Barlow boys (they are not brothers but Uncle Daniel to his nephew Adam) have been there weeks. But the three guys who appeared within a day of each other: Toyah's ex, Mary's Boy Child & Bethany's 'rescuer/potential abducter' were too many new characters all at once. No wonder people got Jude (Mary's son) and Nathan (tanning salon bloke) mixed up.

At least Phelan now seems to be in an ordinary room mocked up to look like a private ward. The room that gets used for nearly every Corrie resident as a private ward seems to be a genuine hospital ward. If so surely real patients should have it for medical reasons, not a TV company using it to film.

It seems that every household and the pub has continuous Christmas songs playing at all times in the background (except of course Castle Barlow that has classical music for Sir Ken. After getting blasted with Slade etc in every shop for the last three weeks the last thing we want to do is have more of the same in the home.

The OH has always said she likes Corrie because you can miss it for a few episodes and pick it up again without any problems. But after the last few days neither of us can understand what is going on from episode to episode. Apart from unbelievable plots having near identical young men make it more difficult but wouldn't the staff of a tanning salon (especially the only one in the country open on Boxing Day) be a little more than a Whiter Shade of Pale to at least help distinguish one of them?

I'm pretty sure Billy named the full address of Eileen's house while they were in the church and the camera panned to Nathan who was lurking in the pews nearby.

I know it's been mentioned numerous times, but I have to have my say too.

Phlegm still in a private hospital ward AND on Christmas Day? Really?

Get real script writers. Have any of them been in hospital or have they tried to get a private ward for a loved one, even if they are desperately ill?

I missed that bit. Why would he need to give out the full address to Shona when he was going to be taking her there himself? Or was he on the phone to a taxi firm?

I can't take credit for the Mary's Boy Child name. I saw another forum member use it (I think it was a thread title)

And I thought it was just me!

I'm still uncertain about the woman or women. The one David met, the one in the church cupboard and the one in the tanning salon. Perhaps Corrie can get new cast members to wear name badges.

The woman that David met who took his wallet in the club and the one that Billy befriended is the same woman. Her name is Shona.

The one in the salon is a completely different woman (she looked mixed-race to me).

I doubt Shona would be happily working in the salon with Nathan as she looked scared of him when she saw him from afar in the church. Also her story seems to be that she is hardup hence why she took David's wallet and her drinking in the church cupboard. If she had a job there would be no need for the other things she did unless it's part of some sinister plot.
