Lots of mentions of tanning salons, I haven't seen that bit so maybe I have missed an episode?

You may have missed the 2nd episode at 8:30 last night.

Nathan, the guy that picked Bethany up after she collapsed in the ginnel, works in a tanning salon.

Bethany went to thank Tyrone with a box of chocolates after finding her but he said he found this Nathan guy holding her and all he did was call the ambulance. He told her where he could find Nathan and Bethany took back her chocolates and took them round to Nathan

I noticed last night that the 350 wall sockets behind Phelan had disappeared.

Thank you. So I was correct all along. Thought I was going bonkers!

Shona did allude to the fact that Nathan wanted her to go on the game to get some extra money.

I've no doubt this will be poor Bethany's fate.

First delivering drugs and now prostitution.

I have been catching up on demand and quite frankly gave up after 3 episodes. I have no clue what day it was supposed to be during any of the episodes, except I'm guessing the random mini choir was the 25th.

Agree with all the posters but need my rant at the utter tosh & drivel.

- Maria's party, ugh.
- No coherent time frames.
- Regular cast members MIA for ridiculous reasons.
- A whole bunch of new and indistinguishable cast members.
- Jude turning up (not actually seen the bit about Mary leaving for SA so thank you viewers, you are stronger than I to keep watching.

And just when was Peter booking the night in the hotel for? Christmas night? Would you really reserve a room for Mr Barlow & Miss Battersby (and she's been married X years).

During the nonsensical sentence hearing, did the Judge call Maria Miss Connor?

I know we have no emotional investment in Maria's 'husband' but has he just disappeared and the sl never to be mentioned again now she's banged up?

I think this has been the worst Christmas tripe ever. Even the snow dumped last year has been trumped by the randomness and confusion and I can only assume the writers started imbibing the Christmas cheer early.

He probably removed them so Andy could flog them for a few bob.

You know at the end of some of their programmes, the ones concerning wife beating/suicide/cancer etc....they have a help line number......wouldn't it be helpful if they did at the moment?

I.e. If you have any concerns regarding following our story lines please phone.......

And at the beginning of each episode we have a brief 'story so far' like they used to have in certain TV series of long ago.

That made me think of the American spoof series with Billy Crystal. It might even have been called Soap. At the beginning of each episode they ran through the amazingly complicated story lines, and always ended with the narrative voice saying 'Confused? You will be.'

The phone lines would be jammed solid!

I would have liked to ring to ask when the pub was open over Christmas. Opening times vary a lot from pub to pub but one thing is constant - they are packed often with strangers not with a few people sipping away as we saw on the Guess the Date nights

Talking of pubs, as I often do, how unlikely is it that Mary's new son would appear like magic and presume within a few minutes that everyone would go to the pub on whatever day lunchtime it was or even notice three was a pub in that back street.

And that particular back street had about 30 people, cast and extras all walking around at the start of one episode. Perhaps they were all just leaving a football ground?

Yes Nathan is associated with the woman in the church (I don't think they're married though) and he is the same person who picked up Bethany. He also works in a tanning salon

well at last I'm up to date with the messages but still have the second episode from last night to watch if I can pluck up the nerve and energy. Sorry to say I still haven't fully grasped all the relationships, will this malarkey in the tanning center make it clearer or worse? Too many exes flying around for my poor addled brain to grasp

Leanne's Lump seemed to disappear in an outside scene when she was wearing a red coated, buttoned up but on another occasion she entered a room the same coat was unbuttoned with the Lump as large as life.

She was walking more normally when her coat was buttoned up, too...unlike the John Wayne pregnancy stagger in the rest of the scenes
