I've emailed David Nugent to get him to settle this as someone currently involved in Corrie. Then there can be no argument.
Very sensible. Thanks Janet.

I'd vote for - the scenes are filmed on a set and not in a real hospital.

all they need is a multi roomed multi floored building they can turn into what they like, simlar to what hollyoaks have
Wasn't it EastEnders which built the interior police set next to the hospital one?

Worst thing about having an exterior police set was characters running off to make a statement, only to be stopped.

Perhaps 'occasional' is the wrong word nowadays given the number of times they have people admitted and the varying lengths of stay in THE ward, wherever it is No wonder they need a medical set - more hospitalisation than Casualty and Holby City put together!

It seems that Phelan's stay for his bump on the head has exceeded that of Sir Ken for his stroke and Anna's for severe burns treatment.

He's probably threatened the staff with death if they even think of discharging him to Eileen's tender care.

He must be blackmailing the doctors.

What's going on with all the strange quotes?
It was almost as confusing as the Coronation Street Triplets!

Groundhog Day!

What! At least he'd get a run up the stairs to share bacon butties and a bit of how's yer father!

Eileen is so classy!

How on earth did Anna manage to fall down the stairs? It wasn't even pitch black!

Jack has grown. He's one of those soap kids that's wheeled round in a push chair for what seems like forever then suddenly appears (usually with a new head) half grown and speaking.

The whole Mary going away with her 'son' is weird. Is he her son? Did he really find his mother so quickly? Have they really bonded so quickly and he really wants her to move to New Zealand with him? It would be more plausible if it was Scotland or Wales or anywhere other that NZ - its such a massive move and its happened overnight. Bizarre. Unless the actress has to suddenly have time off, but even then surely they could have come up with something more plausible.

South Africa. Not that it matters. It's far, far away so once the SL is over we won't have to see him again because it's not like he lives locally!

However, it's a place where Mary can conveniently disappear to for her holidays!

I've really lost the plot on the Mary / Son/ South Africa storyline.
Was he in the UK at the time Gemma's video went out on social media?
Is it even possible he would have seen it, in reality ?
How does he know Mary is in fact his Mother - ie how has he found out for sure in such a short time?
Mary has not done any research on Jude, he could be an imposter, con man, or murderer
In reality, even if Jude is who he says he is, you would not pack up and go to live with him on the other side of the world...at least, go for a holiday first to check it all out.
Seems a rushed plot line - has Mary been written out officially ?

And, of course, Phelan was there to overhear.

AGAIN.

I hate this plot so much. They need to kill Phelan ASAP.

I was delighted to discover from Coronation Street that South Africa has an open borders immigration policy. I saw a lovely documentary about the Kruger National Park this afternoon so I shall be moving there permanently tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

OMG, more fecking incidental music and a slow motion at the end of tonight's episode
Corrie looks more like a cheesy American romcom these days. Kate Oates needs to do one pronto.....and take Billy with her

saw one behind the scenes on GMTV i think where they showed a general set which could be anything from hospital ward to classroom to prison visiting area,

some studios hire permanent sent like the one from the Bill which I think they still hire out to anybody who needs a police station to film in, the also have a court room and hospital set as well.
Then of course you get the real deal so want to film in an empty prison? come to Lancaster.
St. Hugh's hospital was to the right of The Bill's set in Merton-and as you point out the site also had it's own hospital set.

As pointed out previously the entrance to the hospital set was behind the Medical Centre; was across from the police station/University Challenge side of Granada Studios.

I'd imagine the new studio buildings at Media City UK act as the outside to the hospital now-going back some time and when John State fell off the roof: https://youtu.be/mF_RJm9KfiQ?t=7m6s you could see M.O.S.I in the background.

Plus, what does his wife think? Does she really want a stranger living with them? Isnt she pregnant and about to give birth?

And he said that Mary doesn't have to work - really?

Is Mary having to take time off in real life or is this storyline just the biggest pile of pants since...errr....last week?

Peru has the same policy. Before you decide you should check out the job opportunities of both. There's pro's and cons to be considered. Mainly the cons. But you have until tomorrow to think about it.

Somebody should report the little runt to the authorities. There are rules regarding where you can and cannot fly drones.

God knows, I have lost track. It's jumping all over the place and I keep thinking I've missed episodes despite having it on the planner to record.
So - did I get this right? Leanne is in hospital (when did that happen?) and Simon has been told she is visiting Janice? Surely he's old enough to be told the truth. Or have I mis-understood something?

Thanks for that d0lphin

I've not actually watched tonight's yet. I usually catch up on a Friday but managed to see Monday's already. I just went to watch Wednesday's on catch up but there was nothing there.

Anyway, Leanne went to hospital on Monday (iirc) cos she had a bad headache. She didn't want him upset but yes, I would think he was old enough to know the truth; it's got to be better than making crap up..

Mary going to South Africa, just like that? I hope this Jude isn't a fraudster.
