Mary has not done any research on Jude, he could be an imposter, con man, or murderer

It doesn't feel like Corrie when they have cheesy incidental music playing in t'background.
Mary going to South Africa, just like that? I hope this Jude isn't a fraudster. |

And, of course, Phelan was there to overhear.
AGAIN. I hate this plot so much. They need to kill Phelan ASAP. Unless it's Phelan's psychic abilities at work again. |

I've really lost the plot on the Mary / Son/ South Africa storyline.
Was he in the UK at the time Gemma's video went out on social media? Is it even possible he would have seen it, in reality ? How does he know Mary is in fact his Mother - ie how has he found out for sure in such a short time? Mary has not done any research on Jude, he could be an imposter, con man, or murderer In reality, even if Jude is who he says he is, you would not pack up and go to live with him on the other side of the world...at least, go for a holiday first to check it all out. Seems a rushed plot line - has Mary been written out officially ? |

I know we shouldn't be surprised any more, as it happens each time a character leaves the Street, but Mary was packed to leave for a new life in SA with just three small hold-alls. Who can really pack up their life so quickly and neatly? I take more than that for a week's holiday in Spain...

God knows, I have lost track. It's jumping all over the place and I keep thinking I've missed episodes despite having it on the planner to record.
So - did I get this right? Leanne is in hospital (when did that happen?) and Simon has been told she is visiting Janice? Surely he's old enough to be told the truth. Or have I mis-understood something? |

Plus, what does his wife think? Does she really want a stranger living with them? Isnt she pregnant and about to give birth?
And he said that Mary doesn't have to work - really? Is Mary having to take time off in real life or is this storyline just the biggest pile of pants since...errr....last week? |

Find the scripts of when Andy pretended he was Michael's son. Slightly edit them, and change the names to Mary and Jude, and there is a storyline
![]() Really, some of these storylines seem to be written by children, an insult to our intelligence. |

So, Jude left his pregnant wife in South Africa over Christmas and will return with a complete stranger who he announces is his long lost mother.
I bet she will be thrilled. |

New Year's eve - arguably the busiest night of the year and all the staff of The Rovers and the Bistro have the night off? Landlady Liz the only one serving at the Rovers and despite Robert being owner and head chef of the Bistro appears to be the only one front of house.

I feel as if I have totally lost the plot(s)
Christmas and New Year on the Street have merged into this dramatic mess of storylines that I just cannot be bothered to sort out in my poor confused mind ![]() I just don't care anymore, about any of them

Not to mention her camper van. Did we ever find out what became of her huge camper van - or mobile home, whatever she called it?

Why was she even upstairs anyway. Wouldn't she wait up for Faye to come in? And why was Jack downstairs? Had he come down to get himself a drink? When Anna fell he had the nous to go outside for help but then just stood all alone in the street!
The next shot is the house is in darkness, Jack is downstairs and Anna is upstairs. For some obscure reason, the light on the landing didn't work (was there a power cut? The rest of the street looked ok), she went to walk downstairs and did a dramatic fall to the bottom. Even I can walk down my stairs in darkness. Then, for another obscure reason, Jack opened the front door and then stood gormlessly watching the fireworks!!! |

When Kevin got the call to go and pick up Mr Connor (forgotten his name), Anna said "don't worry, we'll celebrate when you get back".

Why would Johnny pay £105 for three bottles of champagne in the pub? Anyone else would have gone to a supermarket or shop where it would probably be about £25 - £30 per bottle.

Jack would hear all the noise from the Bistro and Rovers and go to get help. Very handy that Faye is on a sleepover (that Anna wouldn't have permitted anyway)
As for Mary!!!! Well done for finding out all the inoculation and visa requirements, having an up to date passport, getting a doctor's appointment during Christmas fortnight and having the jabs with no side effects PLUS sorting all required documentation. WOW. |

That was done so someone who just happens to be wandering along the street can find Jack in the street and then discover Anna at the bottom of the stairs.

Spoiler
little tots in nappys have got out and knocked on doors to inform neighbours their mother is hurt, yet a six year who has been flattened by tram demolishing a shop, abducted by a grieving mother, regenerated into a different child then nearly flattened by another tram just stands in the middle of the road looking sad. has Simon got laryngitis? he storms off in such a huff he forgot his drone and where the hell was everybody else in chez barlow |
