Why would Johnny pay £105 for three bottles of champagne in the pub? Anyone else would have gone to a supermarket or shop where it would probably be about £25 - £30 per bottle.

When Kevin got the call to go and pick up Mr Connor (forgotten his name), Anna said "don't worry, we'll celebrate when you get back".
The next shot is the house is in darkness, Jack is downstairs and Anna is upstairs. For some obscure reason, the light on the landing didn't work (was there a power cut? The rest of the street looked ok), she went to walk downstairs and did a dramatic fall to the bottom. Even I can walk down my stairs in darkness. Then, for another obscure reason, Jack opened the front door and then stood gormlessly watching the fireworks!!! |

Mary swanning out of the florists for the last time but still wearing her work pinney. As if Tracy wouldn't have ripped it from her in a heartbeat.

The scene between Tracy and Mary in the florists was quite vomit inducing Tracy being nice to people doesn't' work, they need to get Tracy back on the vinegar and battery acid cocktails ASAP.

Why the hell would Leanne be visiting Janice when Toyah has just turned up! And wouldn't Toyah also visit? After all she is Janice's daughter!

Very sensible. Thanks Janet.
![]() I'd vote for - the scenes are filmed on a set and not in a real hospital. Anybody who thinks the Corrie crew do not go 'on location' to use both the outside and inside of building for obvious economic and common sense reasons is living in cloud cuckoo land. Or do you really think they spend ages filling a huge area of the studio floor to build, for example, an old fashioned court room on set, complete with old fashioned seating, a raised bench for the judge, a dock for the accused and best of all the old stained glass windows, complete with Latin mottoes for the sake of letting someone have a few minutes in court? They do it all the time - that is why the production vehicles can be seen all around the Manchester area and adjacent counties as the actors and camera crews are filming inside. If you or any others insist I make these things up, it means that the set builders made a very good job making the set in this pic of the Platt family coming out of a building with its weathered stone pillars and steps and the old court room used in the same story episodes. http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.u...ears/#gallery0 |

That's one funny description of Jack. Gormlessly. I won't be able to watch that episode without thinking of your description and bursting out laughing. Even now I find it hard to stop. Now I can't wait to see it. I wouldn't be dead for dollars to miss it. 😁😁😁😤
Jack see's Anna is hurt, thinks "I must go to get help." gets outside, runs into the road, thinks "Where shall I go to find some... OOH FIREWORKS!" |

It got towed away by the Council after she got told she couldn't live in it parked on Coronation Street. We never saw Mary try to retrieve it or anything, it just seemed to get forgotten.
Me too. It's a mess flashing before your eyes at breakneck speed. When you're convinced that you've missed an episode but haven't, something's very wrong. It's turned into a cartoon. |

It all depends on what you mean by 'scenes', how Janet has phrased her e mail to David Nugent and how he interprets the question and then replies.

so has Simon been flying his drone since boxing day?
Yes. Illegally with no regard to the distance between buildings people and so on. Currently the law seems to suggest around 100 or more metres. The little weasel has been hovering at just a few feet over the roof tops. Anyone doing that round here would most likely be having multiple catapult attacks in the hope of crashing the ludicrous toy. If the batteries ran out and, by good fortune, it landed in my back garden he would be welcome to the assorted and mis-shapen wreckage, of course. |

I know we shouldn't be surprised any more, as it happens each time a character leaves the Street, but Mary was packed to leave for a new life in SA with just three small hold-alls. Who can really pack up their life so quickly and neatly? I take more than that for a week's holiday in Spain...

So, Jude left his pregnant wife in South Africa over Christmas and will return with a complete stranger who he announces is his long lost mother.
I bet she will be thrilled. ![]() Quote:
New Year's eve - arguably the busiest night of the year and all the staff of The Rovers and the Bistro have the night off? Landlady Liz the only one serving at the Rovers and despite Robert being owner and head chef of the Bistro appears to be the only one front of house.
Corrie are stupid they seem to have only one bar person no matter what. Quote:

Mary is the mother in law everyone would want
![]() Especially at short notice and at considerable expense of the air fare too. Being left alone and pregnant over Christmas will soften the blow I am sure Quote:

This puzzled me too - but I'm thinking now maybe they just told Si Leanne was at Janice's to explain her staying in hospital

Agree with everyone's "confusion" posts. My head is still reeling after watching Christmas Eve/Day/New Year's Eve episodes in rapid succession. For such special events there should be a 3 line whip for the characters who would expected to be working on the most used sets for special occasions. There is no way the MacDonald clan wouldn't be in the pub and the Bistro would certainly need more than Robert working. I must've missed the bit where Steph got fired. |

I don't bother to think any of the above out. A straightforward issue has been made far too complicated. I can see from watching Corrie that very occasionally they film on location. But I thought this was just a simple dispute about where Corrie hospital interior scenes are filmed. Is it on location in a hospital or in a studio?

Not to mention her camper van. Did we ever find out what became of her huge camper van - or mobile home, whatever she called it?

Actually with pub mark ups £105 is cheap for 3 bottles of 'good' champers. Was the label displayed as part of their Product Placement Payments?

One thing when Anna fell down the stairs... where was that random shaft of light coming from? And did anyone else notice how both Steph and Phelan seemed to have more lighting on them... something to suggest 2017 is the year they meet their maker? |

a shaft of light in number 13?
wonder if they will have Jack having a dream about an old lady with curlers in his room asking what's happened to her Muriel then Kevin gets the call about Hilda passing one big christmas SOR is there has been no nativity, maybe nobody's parent turned up drunk or had a baby so wasn't worth filming now all this talk of hospital sets when they film in schools they do seem to use real schools |

It was! It was me originally wondering about Phelan's latest ward appearing different to THE private ward he and all the others occupy. But a thread newbie deliberately misquoted me, took the pi$$ somewhat and others seems to accept his/her misquote as if I had actually said it and it became a bee in my bonnet and one where I had to make a point.

a fun story would be Kevin and Anna tying the knot and when Jack finds out he's so shocked at the thought of Anna being his step mum he begs Jenny to abduct him again

Corrie invested a lot into a hospital set, hence why it is used so often.
"All hospital scenes are shot on set at our studio complex, years ago(25) we use to use Manchester Northern Hospital but it became impractical. Once again many thanks for your e-mail and may I wish you a Very Happy New Year. Best Wishes, David." |

Overuse by Corrie producers of the call to Tyrone or Kevin for the vehicle breakdown service.
