Is that true or just speculation?

Anyway he has the great business genius that is Sophie Webster to ruin his business! You know, the daft cow who went to the US without insurance.
Probably not far from the truth tbh. The show is rather predictable.

Except for when it's LLoyd and Andrea left in an open top sports car. When they were driven down to the bottom of the street and back to be dropped at Lloyd's flat.

Have to say Erica looked fab tonight.

In less than a week Mary met her son, left to go and live with him and then changed her mind and decided to return.

When she left I said she'd be back before the end of the week if not before. I was not expecting it to be the same flippin' episode!

So that's the Mary's secret son saga done is it?
Goodness knows. I didn't think Corrie could get any more preposterous after the Caz story.

Just what has Mary's disclosure about her son and then meeting him actually achieved? Are we really back to square one, albeit with now knowing that Jude's living in South Africa?

Surely he'll turn up again at some point?

So it might just be me but surely if Shona pinched Davids wallet last week she would have taken any money in it out and chucked it in the nearest rubbish bin??
She did... then we saw her retrieve it from the bin after she heard David asking after her at the club.

Right the only thing Ive ever stolen in my life and thats 60 years was a pencil sharpener off a kid who sat next to me in class. That sharpener burnt a hole in my hand all the way home till I crossed the road and a car ran over it So since then Ive not pinched anything. So it might just be me but surely if Shona pinched Davids wallet last week she would have taken any money in it out and chucked it in the nearest rubbish bin??
I thought that's what she did do. And then later went back to the bin, retrieved the wallet and took out Kylie's photo (which Todd saw this evening in Shona's purse)

Phelan: Why did Kevin even have to mention anything about his tow truck witin his earshot (clearly shoehorned in) and yet again a "mwah hah hah" moment when Phelan instantly saw a dastardly opportunity.

Give me strength......

Andy NotGavin: We had that ridiculous "deep and meaningful music over a slow-mo walk" on the previous episode, to telegraph his departure, only for him to still be there and not leaving after all tonight

The writers really are playing with us and it's getting very annoying

For the Phelan bit, Bad characters ultimately need to have a comeuppance, otherwise it descends below pantomime, and for the Andy bit, if they are doing the over the top production for him going, them let him actually go.......

and, of course, it was still easilt retrievable 24 hours (?) later - like Maria's scissors.

Ah yes. The SL is done and dusted so the person disappears.

Why did Rita and Jenny look so aghast when Johnny announced his retirement? .
Jenny realised she was going to miss out on the Caribbean yacht.

If anything, Johnny's retirement means he has even more time on his hands for such holidays. Jenny should be thrilled!

Reminds me of that old playground joke

'she went up to a group of vicars, and told them that she'd lost her . . . . . . . purse'

Even if Mary realised she didn't want to go to South Africa permanently, why wouldn't she go ahead and have a long holiday to bond with her son and come back at a later date after meeting her new grandchild? Are the flight tickets that easily refundable or does the cost of it all not matter? It just seems so bizarre.

It makes no sense for someone that is so broken up about abandoning their child to then abandon him again at the first opportunity that she gets to be the mother she always wished she could have been to him.

She went back and got the wallet because when David confronted her he told her all he was interested in was a photo that was in it.

Why the heck did Kevin not make sure Phelan had fully left the house before closing the living room door (in fact why was Kevin closing the living room door, it's always left open)?

Kevin was closing the door at the same time Phelan was pretending he was closing the kitchen door which he had deliberately left on the catch. If I was Kevin I would close the kitchen door myself after Phelan had walked out and made sure the door was locked properly.

Also Kevin and Anna who can't walk quickly, seemed to get up the stairs in the 10 seconds between Phelan closing and re-opening the door.

Phelan has a key now - that's why he made such a big deal about finishing fixing the door. He can now come and go from that house at will.

I think she was having a 'sleepover' ... Anna was talking about it earlier.

It gets more and more bizarre the more you think about it. Yes, of course, she'd go for a holiday, even if it's just a week. Anyone would surely?

There must be more to all of this otherwise it's the most pointless, bonkers bit of filler in the history of Corrie.

I must have misheard, no surprise when the storys are all over the show. Was Jack outside when Dev and co were waving erica off?

what i would like to know, if you look at anna falling down the stairs is who is in the photo on the hall table?

She was not having a sleepover. Anna said she had booked a taxi to pick up Faye at 1am.

thought so

the only clock we saw was in Andy / Steph flat which said 12:25 so all the webster, phelan stuff happened before 1 when faye got home

but as said a while back, why was anna not waiting up for her

and Jack goes downstairs in the dark to fetch a pail of water?
no, sorry, wrong Jack
to get a glass of milk
to then take back upstairs in the dark?

what six-year-old goes anywhere in the dark?

I have no idea who it was in the photo, but I'll bet a dollar to a donut I have more than a good idea who it wasn't.
