Don't forget the flash hire car that he sold (and reported as stolen) in league with an accomplice whom we haven't seen or heard anything more about. How does he know them anyway, given he's supposed to have been in Canada for several years?

I think Mary is a great character, interesting, witty, and slightly 'off the wall'! Every street should have a 'Mary'.

Yes Shona will be living and working on the street a reformed, soon to be in David's arms Kylie Mk2 probably by the end of the month. I do hope someone says to David that he's only seeing her because she's another Kylie. Might make such a storyline a little bit more believable.
As to Shona marrying Billy the confused vicar. He might be unsure of his Christianity from one week to the next but he most certainly isn't confused about where he wants to put his ding-a-ling.
That is the whole point of his being on the programme.
When Billy went into the bar and asked about Shona the barman said he was new so he would not know Billy or know what beer he drinks. So Billy says "A pint please" and the barman goes off to get it. Get what? A pint of what? Lager? Bitter? Heineken? Peroni? John Smiths? If I went into a pub and asked for a pint they would ask what particular pint I wanted!

I couldn't remember about this relationship of Toyah's so I had a look at Corriepedia and indeed it was a college tutor, under the name of John Arnley, who made 16 appearances in 02-03.

Unless they have a video of Carla holding a gun to his head forcing him to sign it back what legal claim can they have?
Oh - also a quick notice to the producers - if you are going to bring a character then at least don't make him such an odious tw*t as Adam is. He doesn't seem to have one likeable character trait.

I thought it might be part of a new government scheme to make it easier for prisoners on leaving prison.

Yes for a while and out of the blue nearly all drinkers, old and young, male and female, were trendily supping from bottlenecks in a trendy sort of way, and real ale became the only drink in town - or at least in both the Rovers and the bistro.
I reckon it ended after one of the PTB tried it and looked ridiculous covered in froth.

Corrie probably think they've hit the jackpot now they have two big gorillas to beat their chests.
Aidan and Adam - all the women will be swooning. But they probably don't realise that Aidan is not very likeable at the moment because he's messing about with Maria and Eva.

I rant over this frequently but it is annoying me to the point of distraction. I know women often choose to keep their surname after marriage but would it happen so frequently.

Adam Barlow is not Adam Baldwin? His father Mike Baldwin was married to his mother Susan Barlow who was presumably Susan Baldwin?
Is Daniel known as Daniel Osborne or will he transmogrify into a Barlow? Hopefully he has a middle name of Kenneth and can take that at the appropriate juncture when the total metamorphosis into The Original Sir Kenneth is complete.
Leanne has had several marriages and is Battersby again, and it appears Toyah is too.
I just wonder why it's decided some will keep their maiden name and others the married name, there must be a discussion about who will do what.
Carla was the original irritant. After several husbands she reverted to her first married's surname, not even her maiden name, even though of course we have learned her father was Johnny Connor.
Anyway, small points but teeth gratingly annoying to me.
