It's become so blatant now, as if they don't care at all about putting events in a proper sequence, or really keeping any kind of consistency, I thought last night's Corries were poor, jumping around all over the place, but not returning to stories such as Mary's SL which needed some development and rounding off. Billy was chasing Shona - why? - with a manic grin on his face, in training for a Jack Nicholson role perhaps. Eileen was conveniently and unrealistically absent, since there's no chance Shona would have been allowed in her house if she'd been there. Why does Grinning Billy think he can do what he wants and bring a light-fingered homeless woman into Eileen's house?
Phelan now seems to have supernatural powers of evil. Roy burst into a very unRoy-like rage. Jenny became stupidly gloating and unpleasant. Aidan reprised Peter Barlow's SL when he was in love with two women, but let's hope Aidan doesn't try to to marry them both.
I think I'm watching only because I watched the first episode, and Corrie's been a small part of my viewing life ever since.
