And where has she been living prior to Billy taking her on? Don't get this storyline at all - ridiculous.
Yes I noticed that too, also couldn't see any paint in her hair. And why go round to Ken's with wet hair? |

I've yet to meet an estate agent who would come round a remove their 'For Sale' signs so quickly!

I'd like to know why Ken didn't protest when Daniel was piling his (Kens) plate with slices of ham in tonight's episode. Isn't Ken supposed to be vegetarian?

Apparently she was thrown out of Nathan's home when they broke up. Nathan is of course the man that Bethany has just met .....

No make up = insomnia, or you are loony.
Once upon a time you had the likes of Bet Lynch slobbering on the couch, disheveled, drinking a cuppa with a face pack on. Now the modern Corrie woman looks super glamorous, layered in make up, hair so sleek you'd think they used a pork chop to comb it! They are superficial and high maintenance, sadly it's a sign of the times with the 'fashion' industry. I dread to think how long the likes of Eva spend in the dressing room. If only Corrie put more focus into rehearsals........no wonder Julie Goodyear was aghast when she returned! |

It would be great if something could be organised over social media encouraging viewers who aren't happy with the show to switch off on a certain date but I doubt it would work.

I'm aware that all TV shows have suffered a loss of viewers due to streaming services and people recording or watching on catch up but I do find it interesting that Corrie's viewing figures have declined sharply over the past 10 years as (imo) this is when the quality started to decline. As an example Ken and Deirdre's 2nd wedding in 2005 attracted 17 million viewers. I know this was a special episode but I also looked at ratings for normal episodes in 2008/2009 and they generally attracted an average of 10 million viewers. That's 3 million viewers lost. I can accept some is due to catch up TV etc, but I suspect an equal number is due to the dip in quality since that time.
Another fact to take into account, is there are many more channels to choose from now. I suppose a fairer comparison would be to see how EastEnders faired over the same period.

Thanks Cedric and Steve.
My IE history list goes back to 05/08/2016 and there are literally thousands of items on there. The problem is I just can't remember how long ago it was; I just wish I could recall where I found the episodes in the first place. One of the episodes I was watching featured Ian Bleasdale, probably better known for playing paramedic Josh in Casualty. In the early part of 1985 he played the part of David Millward, the jealous husband of Christine Millward, a fashion designer who he thought was having an affair with Mike Baldwin. Bleasdale's appearance in the programme is not credited on IMDB, which is what I was trying to correct. Christine Millward was played by former actress Julie Shipley, which is where it becomes more difficult as regards the episode number. IMDB shows her appearances as being in episodes 2475 and 2476, listed as 9th and 14th January 1985 respectively, whereas Corriepedia shows them as 2482 and 2485, with dates as 14th and 23rd January. So there's an error somewhere! Thanks for your help in any case. |

Silly Billy told Shona he was going to take her back to Eileen's to show her her room - what room?
I'm really confused as to who is living in Eileen's tardis now but surely Shona wouldn't have her own room? |

A story that was supposed to grab the interest of viewers failed so miserably that her friends and the gossips seem to have ignored it incompletely.
Story now dumped into File 13 and forgotten. The story makes no sense whatsoever. She had a ticket - at least go and get to know son and daughter-in-law and see something of another country, even for week. Mary is supposed to have love travelling, so why she wouldn't take advantage of such a trip is utterly mind-boggling. But then, that's Corrie for you always more questions than answers ![]() There has to be more to this. I just can't get my head around why they would write what they have and then just drop it with no ramifications at all. |

That and the estate agent very rarely does it. Most round our way employ contractors.

I'm really confused as to who is living in Eileen's tardis now but surely Shona wouldn't have her own room? Eileen and Phelan in one, and Todd and Billy in the other upstairs , or are they in the downstairs front bedroom, who cares? Anyway, still leaves one vacant for the new lodger

"You'll be sharing with a load of others, but there should be enough room to sling a hammock"
Eileen and Phelan sharing one bedroom upstairs after she forgave him? Presumably Todd and Billy in the other. Leaves Sean's bed in the downstairs front room vacant for Shona. For once it appears that Eileen;s house isn't bursting at the seams - or have I forgotten someone? Ooops! Ayrshire Lass's post wasn't up when I posted. |

Anyway I'm sure Phelan wouldn't object to bunking up with Shona if the need arose, he's always up for doing someone a favour the caring sharing bloke that he is, mind you he better keep anything valuable hidden.
