Cathy said at one point she had tenants in her house, and she still seems to be living at Yasmeen's. And is Alya still at the ramshackle house of Fiz and Tyrone? I don't think we've heard otherwise unless I missed it.
I thought Freddie was moving in with Fiz and Ty.

Another Corrie issue - people move in and we never see it. Have we ever seen Sean and Brian at Norris's or Alya at Kate's?

Billy playing the martyr by sleeping rough on the streets with Shona, but then slipping off back to Eileen's for a shower the next morning.
Just like that other wonderful Corrie saint -Sophie Webster.

The Corrie writers of today have no idea what a 'slow-burning plot' is, let alone write one.

It's all 'wam, bam, thank you, mam' All over and done with in a few episodes.

Gives a whole new meaning to a 'week plot'

wow that acting by Simon in the back alley, omg its so bad, how could any director be happy with that and willing to put it on telly?
Simon was ok but that close-up of Eva was quite scary!

Actually, Eva has been given more to do recently and it makes her a far more interesting character. Although I do wish they'd stop the continual compliments. Johnny has told Aidan umpteen times lately that she is gorgeous. She's ok. In that alley she looked awful in close-up and Corrie keep showing her walking along showing her legs off. She walks clumsily and she's pigeon-toed. None of this is her fault but Corrie, please stop doing a 'Michelle' with her.

I see that Robert has had all that horrendous witchy black air dye removed. Who did he think he was Carla or Michelle Connor?!

Why didn't Simon just say 'dad saw you go out so he popped in to see how I was'? then him or toyah could just warn him when returning the fags, it would have exposed nothing and left Leanne non of the wiser, instead he takes a hit for smoking, it makes no sense,
Why didn't he just tell the truth that he caught Toyah and Peter at it.

The bit in the Rovers when Steph revealed that Robert fancies someone on the street and Michelle almost had a smug look on her face and I almost expected a little fanfare to be played as she realised it had to be her (well of course it would can't be anyone else can it as no one else is that wonderful are they).

I think Corrie's so obsessed with secrets and lies .that they just can't see when they simply aren't necessary. It wasn't unreasonable that Peter might have visited Lianne's to see Simon.

Eva's reaction in the ginnel when Simon told her about Peter and Toyah was ridiculous, it was like she'd been told that half the Street had been killed in massive accident. Why would she be that bothered?

With her absence it would have made sense just to have her disappear to South Africa.
This is getting more annoying by the episode. We still haven't seen her. Does only Norris know that she's returned? What about Dev, Erica and the kids? What about Tracy? Todd mentioned he couldn't get his old job at the florists back because Mary and Tracy were 'like that'. Does he know she's back? Did he even know she left? It makes my blood boil it's a all written so carelessly.

We never saw Alya when she was staying at Fiz & Tyrone's either. In fact when Tyrone said Freddie could come back and stay with him and Fiz again, Alya was still living there. I think it was the next episode where Kate offered to have Alya move in with her.

We also never saw Michael when he was staying with Steph & Andy that time.

That's why some of us are confused with who lives where as we never see the lodgers at the homes they are staying at.

It's irritating that so many plots are based round unnecessary secrets, the latest being Peter and Toyah's relationship. Characters lie or hide things when it would be much simpler and realistic to tell the truth. How many times do we hear the well-worn phrase 'I can explain'?
When Jenny was trying to talk to Johnny in the Bistro, he cut her off with literally two words to go. In real life, she'd have just pushed on and said those two words, instead we have the usual cliché of "conversation ended, sad face"

that happens in so many programmes and is completly stupid.
image that in a court scene
"you have been charged with being boring in a public place what is you defence?"

Have you ever watched 'Judge Rinder', he will often do that ask someone something and when they go to answer will shout them down as he is still 'talking', Yes I know it's just a attention seekers paradise type programme and over dramatic TV nonsense but it does make you laugh sometimes at how some people crave attention so much that they want to appear on such drivel.

That's the issue with Corrie, we hardly get scenes set in characters homes. Unless you are a Barlow or Platt, and Dev's house maybe occasionally seen. But everything has to take place in the street or public place like cafe, pub, etc so we get more contrived scenarios with characters overhearing conversations and sneaking around.

The reason you never saw Alya was because she was underneath Freddie on the couch. The springs have long since gone on it. When you say sleep on the couch at Fizzies what it really means is sleep in the couch. I wouldn't be surprised if more than four people at one time are stacked in that couch. Like containers on a ships deck. I'd hate to be the one on the bottom.

A little unfair. His voice is breaking, no fault of his, and he tries to portray a sulky teenager with considerable success.

Every performance, without exception, puts the "actor" who plays Sean Tully to shame. If you want to criticise the director look at the really incompetent performers on the show.

I think that scene was written for the fans who see Jenny as a meddling cow. But alas the happiness was short lived.

I thought Jenny and Johnny were sweethearts
Lord'y how they did love
Swore to be true to each other
As true as the sky's above
He was her man, and wouldn't do her no wrong.
I guess not.

I don't get why Toyah and Peter are so bothered about keeping their relationship secret from anyone.
Toyah dumped Toby and Peter"s single, plus he's a serial cheat/bigamist anyway and everyone knows this.
If Leanne's meant to have pangs of jealousy, she could remind herself that she's also a cheater and just happens to be carrying a married man's child.
The merry-go-round of Corrie residents swapping and sharing partners is bonkers.
They should change the theme tune to Duelling Banjoes as all the kids will be related at some point in the future.
This! I don't get why they have to keep it a secret. Peter is Leannes EX and she's having Steve's baby whilst in a relationship with Nick. Why would she be so upset?
I actually like the Peter character but making Simon keep this to himself does show what a bad dad he is (not like we didn't already know that!).
But the lengths they've gone to for this secret don't make sense to me - which is par for the course in Corrie now of course!

Remind me, does Nick know the truth about Michelle's baby? (I know he knows that it is not his).
You mean Leannes baby?Yes he knows that Steve is the dad. Why would he think he was the father of Michelles baby?

Gawd ain't that the truth! And a touch of the Christmas 'spirit' cannot be blamed as I understand that it is all done 6 weeks before transmission.

Well thank goodness for that - I was beginning to think I was the only one who appreciates his acting. The poor little guy has been on the receiving end of some really unpleasant criticism over the years, which I totally disagree with. I think he is doing exactly what is being asked of him.

All good points! Re the BIB: If everyone thinks Mary has gone, then as far as Tracey is concerned, the job is up for grabs, so as both Todd and Mary have done it, why should either one take precedence over the other? If Tracey knows Mary hasn't gone, unless the latter dashed straight round to see her to say "Can I have my job back", then it's still up for grabs!

Perhaps Tracey doesn't know she is back and this will lead to a "Job Wars" storyline as she plays them both along?

On the job topic, when Eileen was telling Todd he had to get something she said he needed it for "food, rent and clothes". I can understand the first two, but surely he has some clothes he can wear until he gets money again!

I agree, Alex (simon) has really grown in the role and shows some potential. I think Harry, the lad who plays Max has done well as well, helps that neither have been recast which helps maintain some continuity unlike Jack for example whom i still getting used to with a new head on

talking of Alex Bain, here's his first role pre corry
