Too funny - so just the same as in Canada. One thing that does ring true is the flat sharing. Rents are so high, I'm guessing, that people budge in together. I remember staying in Clapham Common years ago with a friend and at least 3 people were sharing a fairly small row flat. On my last visit in Nov. I stayed at an Air BnB in London only to find I was sharing it with at least 4 other full time young lodgers! However, agree that Luke really could be flat siting for Maria instead of overpaying for a squalid room at Ty's. That one makes no sense.

However, she would have been able to claim it for her and Hope before she moved in to Tyrone's pigsty and started living with him, and unless someone reported her, the DWP would be none the wiser. Of course her being such an honest person and not that bothered about money, she would have informed them herself, wouldn't she?
