Poor Luke. Hope none of the neighbourhood pets have gone missing!
No one's seen Ozzy since Maria went away

This is so unrealistic. Jenny said I need a job and Rita said something will turn up. At that precise moment in walks a boss at the local factory who just happens to need a cleaner so tells her to start straight away. No applications form, no interview, no references. Nothing. How about a P45 etc. Nope. Not needed. Just start. Whatever next? Jenny goes for a job working with young children. They find out she was recently imprisoned for abducting a young child. Never mind says the new employer. We all make mistakes. Start today!!
where as in reality the crb would bar her indefinitely from working with children

Somebody should tell the writers that cleaners work very early in the morning or very late at night. Carla should be the only person to set eyes on Jenny....when opening up and closing the factory.

Funny that none of the usual SOR thread posters seem to pick up on things like that, they seem more concern about people just happening to be walking down the street when someone needs to see or talk to them.
I'll take your word for that as I really can't be bothered.
It's fair enough that you can't be bothered but why make the original comment "none of the usual SOR posters ... " if you can't be bothered to check?

It sometimes seems that you're more interested in sniping at those who enjoy this thread.

For those of you who know Les Miserables - Fiz and Tyrone - The Thenardiers

Food beyond compare. Food beyond belief
Mix it in a mincer and pretend it's beef
Kidney of a horse, liver of a cat
Filling up the sausages with this and that
Residents are more than welcome
Bridal suite is occupied
Reasonable charges
Plus some little extras on the side!

Charge 'em for the lice, extra for the mice
Two percent for looking in the mirror twice
Here a little slice, there a little cut
Three percent for sleeping with the window shut
When it comes to fixing prices
There are a lot of tricks I knows
How it all increases, all them bits and pieces
Jesus! It's amazing how it grows!

Poor Luke. Hope none of the neighbourhood pets have gone missing!
I don't really want to think about what "extras on the side" Fiz would be offering....could do without that mental image, thank you!

Wouldn't they have also suspected Fiz, after her moaning about having to sell her engagement ring and how they're living on Fresco's bargain food range?

I'm sure I read a spoiler that said
Spoiler

Good point. When the place was on fire, no one could get in to rescue Carla because of the key code.
But it isn't Fiz Sally has the issue with at the moment is it? Plus Fiz wasn't even in work that day, unless she managed to sneak in without them looking.

Do they? There are lots of factories where cleaners work during the day. They normally do offices in the evening.
I owned a cleaning company and we had several operatives onsite at various factories/warehouses during the day during the day, and they werent industrial cleaners

You wouldn't say that if you read my local newspaper. If there's a story of someone falling on hard times as there is this morning where a widow aged 50 has died suddenly and her children aged 27, 18 and 15 have to find Ł3,000 for a basic funeral. Most people commenting are sympathetic and offering sensible advice of even offering a small amount of money towards the cost, but there's always one who says "it's easier to beg through a newspaper than get help from the DWP and they might even make a profit!" or on the local council stopping free parking for tax exempt vehicles for disabled people more than half the comments are that "most of them aren't disabled anyway".

Not all people are tolerant and many are judgemental.
My local paper too Janet!!

I was about to say the same. Frequently my posts get an immediate response.

Fiz hasn't got a lot of imagination n when it comes to packed lunch - meat paste sandwiches. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but, for instance, I'd make a sausage pie, a Cornish-style pasty or a pizza for tea and then give him a slice of that cold next day for lunch. Got to be more interesting that a meat paste sandwich.

Yep !

Jenny's only there throughout the day so she can interact, to her disadvantage, with the other factory employees.

Looks that way as she never appeared in court, she was treated in a hospital.

True, with with Sean, Kirk, Fiz, Beth & Sinead all working in the factory to a combined mental age of no more than 30, there's no way she'd be allowed to work there.

Meat paste is but an unpretentious pâté - if it tastes good, eat it!

Yeah, the factory is more like a daycare for toddlers. Even then toddlers have far more intelligence than that lot.

of course no one suggesting that cleaners never work through the day- but it's unrealistic from a manpower/wage budget point of view that a cleaner would be there ALL day from 8 am til at least til after lunuch time in such small premises.

it's hardly sprawling corporate premises.

Ahh, that other favourite soap cliche where families struggling for cash suddenly have to make do with horrible, inedible food.
You can buy plenty of decent food on the cheap, doesn't mean you have to resort to meat paste.
I expect Fiz will be dishing up gruel next for breakfast!

Why does Ty have to stay in the garage for lunch anyway? He only lives across the road, he could nip home for his sandwiches.
