Why does Ty have to stay in the garage for lunch anyway? He only lives across the road, he could nip home for his sandwiches.
If you lived in Ty's house would you want to eat there, the garage is probably a more hygienic place to eat.

I certainly wouldn't want to be looking at that clashing wallpaper.

Ty and Fizz remind me of Wayne and Waynetta Slob from the Harry Enfield show.

Ahh, that other favourite soap cliche where families struggling for cash suddenly have to make do with horrible, inedible food.
You can buy plenty of decent food on the cheap, doesn't mean you have to resort to meat paste.
I expect Fiz will be dishing up gruel next for breakfast!

Yes, but don't forget, SB thinks that his audience has a very short attention span and that we have to keep being reminded after each ad break that Fiz and Ty are short of cash.

Just as we have to keep being reminded by dreadful Sally & Co. every few minutes that Jenny (because she was mentally ill after losing a child) tried to abduct the invisible Jack.

Note to Stuart Blackburn:- It's not us that forgets previous storylines, mate, it's you

I was about to say the same. Frequently my posts get an immediate response.

Fiz hasn't got a lot of imagination n when it comes to packed lunch - meat paste sandwiches. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but, for instance, I'd make a sausage pie, a Cornish-style pasty or a pizza for tea and then give him a slice of that cold next day for lunch. Got to be more interesting that a meat paste sandwich.
Well I never, Janet, you say that "frequently your posts get an immediate response" !!Nothing like blowing your own trumpet, I say.: p
Thanks for the tips on what to make for a packed lunch, though.

It sometimes seems that you're more interested in sniping at those who enjoy this thread.
What a wonderfully fertile imagination you have.

They remind me of The Twits a bit, although they don't hate each other. We don't get to see them in bed (thank goodness), but I imagine they'd look just like The Twits there.

What happens when you put someone on the ignore list? Do their posts just not appear for you? Doesn't that interrupt the flow of discussion?

I've thought about putting the odd poster on ignore, but I'm frightened of missing something

I imagine that is how it works but since I have never felt the need to do it I can't say for sure nothing anyone posts I take seriously enough to even contemplate doing it and it certainly doesn't bother me when someone announces for all to see that they have done it to me.

I'm waiting on Fiz raiding wheelie bins in the ginnel. Kind of like a cartoon where an alley cat uses a dustbin lid as a plate Ken startles her whilst walking Eccles, she hisses at him, eyes wild and wide, and runs off like a rat...

I've been through many a time where I have literally no money (such as right now!), but at least I know how to cook. My house is full of dried food, stock, rice/couscous etc so you can eat well for pennies. I suppose that's how soaps show someone is poor though - hit them in the stomach (I watch a show called River City which has a debt storyline which had them eating a can of beans mixed with a can of sweetcorn for tea *boke*). I can't get over Tyrone slobbering over Luke's lunch. My dogs have more restraint.

With the Jenny storyline, tbh we'd never have noticed if she did kidnap Jack as we never see him anyway

The other day when Luke was eating fish and chips with Ty sat next to him with his tongue hanging out of his slobbering chops, what luke should have done was take a handfull and chucked it down on to the cobbles and you would have seen Ty scampering around on all fours slobbering it up from the floor now that would of been really funny.

You've only been a member for six weeks or so, and I don't recall anyone announcing they're going to block you.

Could you be thinking of a previous life?

I was agreeing with Meldrewman - I frequently get an immediate sniping response from Ouroboros. If that's blowing my own trumpet my apologies to you - I won't do it again as I don't want another sniping response like this one from you either.

Thankyou I get it now. I found out about buddies through that link too

One more question - is the ignoree told they're on the list? I'm wondering if I've ever managed to upset or bore anyone enough for them to ignore me I don't think so, and I hope not, but you never know

It's long posts with loads of detail about the poster's very reasonable opinions that do my head in. I find them really dull and that's the only reason I've ever considered ignoring anyone.

That lunch scene with Tyrone was so pathetic. Why could he not exist on just sandwiches? How much is a cheap packet of own brand ham in Frescos? Probably cheaper than meat paste. What is meat paste anyway I've never heard of it.
It's no wonder they have no money if Ty expects fish and chips every lunch time and Fiz is blowing her money on cakes from Roys every tea break. And a couple of pints of cider for her lunch in the Rovers.

And don't get me started on those useless looking new multicoloured lockers in the Factory. Specially shipped in for one episode from CBeebies so someone could steal stuff out of them. What do they all need a locker for - it's ludicrous! One coat, a handbag and a small lunchbox. One for each of the employees - so that takes up the space of 4 extra sewing machines.

And Johnny 'Village Idiot' Connor. What a half wit. A complete obtuse thicko. No professional skills, no social skills. How is he as Carla said 'the best in the business'? The best at what exactly?? No technology skills, no people skills, shows zero authority, no ambition. We've never seen him do any deal or mention any figures or anything like that. It's like a creche there in Carla's office with her trying to mind the Connors and do her work at the same time.

I understand what you are saying, but as I said nothing bothers me enough to put anyone on ignore list and certainly not what is just a bit of light-hearted forum banter.

Meat paste was quite popular back in the 70's and beyond. It became less popular after that.

It's depressing they got rid of a well-rounded character like Tony for a half wit lke Johnny Connor.

The whole Fiz/Ty money troubles storyline is boring me to death. And Corrie hasn't exactly got good feedback on Hope's cancer:

https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=526183647543668

This link proves Corrie has done next-to-no research on the matter. What's concerning is you get the impression from reading the posts that David Nugent is happy copying and pasting half-hearted replies.
