Had to laugh at Jenny cleaning the door half way through the working day, amazing how this cleaning position sprung up from nowhere. Usually a factory of this size would use a cleaning company as there would surely only be an hours work tops per day.

Also the queue of grannies waiting in line for their hair to be done, surely if you were third of fourth in line you would not bother waiting and rearrange another time instead of waiting 3-4 hours to be seen.”

It is funny when Sue (or whatever the last cleaner was called) worked at Underworld we never saw her hanging around in the background and cleaning. Yet now Jenny (who is a regular character) gets the job she is there all day long. Reminds me of Robert and Zeedan, we never saw the previous chefs coming out of the kitchen to hang around the bar but since these two got work in the kitchen they are always there.

Nobody in Corrieland seem capable of locking anything. Apparently Eva can just walk in and out the factory before and after closing time when it suits her. The factory staff never lock their lockers.

And of course last year during the whole Callum Saga he just walked into the Platt household whenever it pleased him. They never thought once to lock the door.

A loading bay? They can't produce more than a few boxes a week, why would they need a loading bay?

Which makes Kirk's latest "hilarious" comedy scene, when he appeared (for some inexplicable reason) to be counting flat packed boxes in the van, ... and was interrupted at 86 ... even more ridiculous.

Someone was. Either way we now have a repeat SL of someone stealing from the the factory lockers which only seem to appear if needed along with another Beth and a rash SL. How many of them has she had? Didn't she get one from a product she used and one on the camping trip? Is this her 3rd rash SL? Someone out there must remember!

The loading bay that they never bother to use. We see all the stuff coming in and out through the front entrance. What fun it must be dragging all the stuff from the back of the factory and out of the front entrance. But if they didn't we would miss gems like Kirk being interrupted when he is counting. Chortle.

And why was the rash on her chin/face? Surely it would have been on her scalp??

I think she got a rash from trying out one of Sinead's homemade bath bombs too.

And why was Kylie at home flapping about what to give the kids for tea? Why was she not at the salon doing nails?”

I was a bit surprised to see a black woman in the queue outside before David got there - wouldn't she be more likely to go to a stylist who specialised in black hair?

the football scene was daft in a few ways. Why was Zeedan helping clear up when he is nothing to do with it, he went with Ken and Leanne to watch Simon.

and why did simon come back in his kit. he went to football after school, had a strop then leave his clothes behind and returns in his kit

do they think our memories are so crap we can't remember that Simon has returned from football practice unless he's wearing his football kit.

we managed to work out that Max had been swimming without seeing him actually swim or him returning with even slightly damp hair

Beth might have just thought the dye felt like it had a different texture to the one Audrey usually uses on her, not that it was irritating her at the time. She'll have had the skin test for the usual one, and as she has reactive skin she might have been a bit wary. Though if that was the case I don't know why she blamed the Bistro food when she did start to itch

Yes.

I hope these are linked and it is discovered Beth has very sensitive skin!

Yes, as someone married to a black woman, and having several black partners in the past, none of them have ever gone to a regular salon as, by and large, they don't usually have the knowledge to do black hair correctly, which is different to European hair.

That hairdressers has always operated in the most bizarre way, with Audruh constantly letting the staff have afternoons off etc. How would that work if you had customers booked in? It's like they operate like a barbers shop not a hairdressing salon. Presumably that's how the writers think us Northern female types get us 'air dun, we just pop in between us working darn t'pit and bathing us whippets.

Yet another sign they have absolutely zero knowledge (or interest) in how real working class people live.

There is no reason why David couldn't have had the extra training and qualifications for hair of all types though, is there?

No of course not, but most 'regular' salons don't tend to have a stylist qualified to do this, but knowing Corrie, he is probably qualified to do anyone who walks through the door.

None at all, and I think I might remember Audrey saying someone at her salon had done a course. Pretty sure Steph has her hair done there too (where else?). The lady in the queue looked older though, and I really thought she'd be more likely to go to a proper black hair salon where they'd have a good range of black hair products and more expertise.

Last year (dunno why I remember this) Steph went there in an emergency and asked Audrey if she knew how to handle black hair. She then went onto to say that yes she did, and that she, Kylie (possibly Maria?) and David had been on a specialist course for black hair.

Thanks, I thought I'd heard Aud say something like that

Well as much as I applaud Corrie acknowledging a small detail for once, I reckon you'd need more than a 'course.' Probably a couple of years at college

Why flat boxes? The factory doesn't, so far as we know, sell to multiple retail outlets, only to wholesalers. Who presumably, put the items in their own packaging. So surely they'd all be in huge cartons? Especially given that they only seem to have one outlet at a time.

Don't be silly. You can qualify as a hairdresser, mechanic, electrician, builder, chef, accountant and machinist entirely on the job ... in two days.

Ans anyone who actually goes into further education just disappears.

That scene with Gail coming in to the Salon to ask David about the kids tea. Gail gets this week's Buffoonery prize. Like it would have been better if she had asked David if he had the TV remote.

To be fair David did say something along the lines 'You've come here to ask me about the kids tea? You can see how I'm fixed!'
