Yes I was impressed with the resources available to the Police. "So, tell us again, a 12 year boy flung a TV remote across the room. And he didn't want you to help him with his homework. I can't believe what you are telling me. OK let's get him in for questioning".
Why isn't Leanne going to the Community Health Centre to get a parenting counsellor involved or something. Surely Family counselling is a better way or did they try that for half an episode.

Does she really think an independent Councillor could get a night bus? Obviously she thinks she'll be able to get anything she considers a good idea. How disappointed she'll be if anyone is stupid enough to actually vote for her when she discovers that councils actually vote on everything and they wont take notice of her demands

Will not getting she wants or, worse still in her eyes not getting elected deflate her ego? I doubt it.”

If she manages to get elected and, having done so, manages to get any policies adopted - that would be a classic SOR. I guess more than one principled independent has been disillusioned when they tried to buck the system.

She said they went for counselling didn't she?

It was a bit silly wasn't it? Every time I've seen this sort of thing before (admittedly on TV dramas), it's never been uniformed police and usually a woman doing the interviewing.

it looked like there was a bag and some keys behind Leanne, looked like the back of underworld or somewhere. they have a shiny new studio to play with, four actually, too much effort to build a realistic police interview room

Have the police got enough manpower to spare 2 men to investigate some bratty kid who needs a clip round the ear, when they should be out investigating real crimes.

Four days early? Wouldn't they go off, or whatever flowers do?

I don't know whether you can freeze flowers, but I'd have thought one disheartening factor in running a flower shop would be that every day you have to put a percentage of your stock in the bin.

It's not as though we've ever seen any customers in tracy's back street flower shop.

I read this thread before watching last night's episode...I was laughing to myself when the SOR's that were discussed on here were shown.....sometimes its better to watch it that way!!

Tracy's had one customer, Steph buying flowers for Carla when she was in hospital and also last night Todd was doing a Lily display for Audrey's Salon. Such a good business move....not

But she was cashing up when Todd went home and seemed to have a wad of cash!

(or was it just a large float?)

You wouldn't even need two officers to take a statement off someone, it's not like she's being interviewed under caution. And I love it that they always turn up and someone is free straight away. Where I work they'd be booking her an appointment and asking her to come back...which would be at least a couple of days away unless it was a real emergency.

Anna and Cathy are always touching their hair and faces too, and then handling food

And getting it wrong again. Filler.

They are both such grubby looking women anyway with their greasy hair hanging all over their faces and the food. Yuk.

Shouldn't they have their hair tied back off their faces when they are working in the cafe?

They should indeed and should be wearing latex gloves if they are touching any item of food directly.

The food must full of their greasy hair. Time for a visit from the hygiene/food safety dept!

I may well have missed this but does anyone know what's happening with the bistro robbery that went wrong? Did I miss something and the police arrested the two blokes? Or is it an ongoing investigation and Corrie will come back to the SL soon?

They have probably forgotten it.

Anna ties her hair back and has those two annoying hanks of hair hanging either side of her face, so she's always pushing them away. Apart from being unhygienic, it must be intensely annoying - it irritates me just watching it!

I was just about to post about Anna's annoying hanks - they drive me mad too. Anna probably thinks they're great

I'm still waiting to know what happened to mad Maya and that was 2004

Very insensitive, the guy on the left didn't seem to want to be there!

Mucky Anna.

'I'll put the kettle on' has now become 'pour me a glass of red'.

Good thing the actors don't actually drink real 'wine', Carla's probably gobbled down so much Vimto and red grape juice mix to last her a lifetime.

Brilliant, isn't it?

Contrast that to Eastenders where the characters at the caff (typically Marie......is she still around??), wearing latex gloves when preparing sandwiches.

Roy's employees need food hygiene training. And is Alex a permanent addition to the Street now?

The original plan was for Maya to return for her trial. But the storyline fizzled out partly because Dev was suspended. Clearly it was planned for the summer of 2005, which notoriously became the worst period in the show's history. This guff Blackburn signs off isn't too far off though!!

Also it was unusual for them both to be speaking, usually when we see coppers in twos only one of them ever talks and the other just watches.

thought a woman couldn't be interviewed by two male officers

and I bet when they interview Simon there won't be a lady from social services there which is the case when they interview a minor
