Izzie has the same medical condition as the actress that plays her and it does involve a lot of pain. I've heard the actress on the radio say she tries not to let others know when she's in pain so maybe Izzie does the same.
I know the actress has the same condition. Its ridiculous that she has never ever mentioned to her family, workmates or friends that she is in constant pain but tells a stranger who just happens to be mention that she can get hold of some dope.

You must have missed a couple of scenes as Tracy did mention it, to ken she even referred to simon as rocky
I heard her call Simon Rocky but did she mention being concerned that Simon was staying there after what he did to Amy last time?

I agree. Izzie is such a one-dimensional character - it would be good to have heard her talk to Katy or Anna about how hard the pain can be to manage. Maybe we could see her at home with Jerk sometimes too.

I did edit my previous post to say if the writers had got it right about Izzie it was by accident as they don't seem to care whether characters are realistic or not

Not to mention who was looking after the salon, since the entire staff were in the pub (or bistro as some call it) while it was still daylight. And who should come in but Beth and Kirk ... who should have been at work.

Speaking of candidates, did the poster we caught a glimpse of refer to Sally as a candidate? She can't be, since no election has been announced, either the main Council one or (almost impossible) a by-election. I don't think she can even be a 'prospective candidate' at the moment.

Also, why are TV dramas so keen to flog the idea that, if the police invite you to voluntarily go to the station, you're forced to go? You don't have to, unless they arrest you.

Though the way they dragged Simon into the car, they'd either arrested him or they were assaulting him.
Sally for PM! All a bit soon really and that placard in the front garden!!!! How long before someone defaces it? Tim was quite sweet about Sal when he told Sean and co off.

I have no idea about law but the Simon stuff looked wrong.

As much as I like Leanne, I fear we will have many scenes of her staring into space, with an angst look on her face, sighing a lot, telling everyone that she made a huge mistake going to the police.
How many times last night did she say: 'What have I done?'

why did audrey march David and Kylie round to the bistro like a pair of naughty children

and who was minding the salon whilst she did. Max and Lilly maybe

and Mary dissing Michael in the same vane as Brendon was uncalled for when it was Gail who ruined the relationship, not him
Why indeed? And why did Audrey, David and Kylie sit in a booth next to Beth and Kirk? Why exactly were they sitting there? They didn't have drinks or food. Was it so they could throw more insults at each other and Kylie and Beth could continue the fight? Pathetic. And Beth's rash seemed to have moved from round her jawline and neck to round her hairline and upper face.

Whatever that was about let's hope it was a one off. Could we really stand Mary and Gail becoming mates and sitting side by side in the Rovers whilst staring into space giving soliloquies addressing no one in particular?

I still don't get why Izzy was not taken to hospital or an ambulance called when she was pushed and fell out of her wheelchair in the factory they all seemed more concerned about Sean's coat?
That was strange and like most Corrie SLs makes no sense.

that is quality SOR for you

almost like the police knowing Simon was at home when they went to arrest him on a school day[/QUOTE]
If he'd been at school they wouldn't have gone there - would they? Did they arrest him at the station? I thought they did. Also thought it was a bit previous!

Flicking through the channels as you do, I saw her in an old ep of The Bill. So I watched. I thought she was slightly better in The Bill.

Is this Beth rash storyline over now? Utterly pointless, first bath bombs, then skinny dipping now hair dye. What next, dodgy makeup, paintballing, clothes.......?? Give her something else to do!!

Yeah, but all men are twisted in Corrieworld, they poor females are innocent victims.

Speaking of Michael where the hell is he?

All that stuff in the Bistro was crap I literally switched off. The fact we have another plot with Beth and some stupid allergy and of course mouthing off is just boring. I wonder if we'll have a couple of episodes with her showing up at the salon wanting free cut and blow dry (or whatever it was) then it will be forgotten. Is there any point to this plot?

As an allergy sufferer and all round sensitive person I did think the way Kylie and David dealt with the situation was terrible. Were we meant to be laughing. Beth could sue the pants off Audrey, hope she's got her public liability insurance sorted

Beth is such a gobby cow though, shouting her mouth off and making accusations. Although you'd think David would have stuck to his apology so his gran didn't face any trouble with her Salon, but he didn't seem to take it seriously (as usual).

Surprised no one has mentioned this huge SOR. Whilst having his hotpot in T'rovers, Norris was drinking a pint of bitter. Norris only ever drinks half pints

Re Izzy and the drugs - are we going to get a storyline involving Martha the hiding Polish girl I wonder, or was this simply a way of telegraphing Izzy's pain/need for drugs into the plot?
It's gonna be reefer madness all over again!

The Izzy/Erica situation is so forced it is unreal.

These two have never even spoken before a few days back, yet now Erica is buying Izzy drugs to ease her pain.

All the years Izzy has been in CS she has hardly ever mentioned her pain (even when she was mugged) yet all of a sudden she needs marijuana to get through the day.

Totally ridiculous.
Yes, suddenly Erica is everyone's best friend. Total SOR.

Leanne's bad parenting again. Simon only has to smile at her and he is allowed the day off school and she has to stay home from work.

In real life Audrey would be bricking it if her salon had caused a customer to have an allergic reaction by changing the usual dye and not doing a skin test. The way she told David and Kylie off was pretty mild in the circumstances.

I have just watched Fridays first episode and noticed as usual a continuity error. When Norris and Mary are listening in to Ken and Audrey's conversation. Camera pans to Norris who is fiddling with a red napkin, then before Ken and Audrey even finish their sentence it goes back to Norris who is now drinking

Surely Nick could have told that Council Inspector to clear off out of his premises? The Bistro had no case to answer, and the complaint had been withdrawn despite what that gurning tool from the Council was saying.

Getting arrested for small quantity of weed ? I've on numerous of occasions had police round while im smoking my cannabis freely in front the officers, guy from CID was round with eigth sat in front of me just made funny joke. Worst you get told it's is disrespectful up here in lancashire. I've got criminal record longer than both my arms and have never had an arrest due to cannabis.

I'm betting if she's in tomorrow's episode there'll be no sign of a rash at all. It was either suppose to be a comedy plot, a safety warning about hair dye or it's a lead in to a closing of the Bistro by the health inspector for some violation.

Would a hair salon have some sort of insurance to cover Beth's issue?

Well this is the same one who allowed him off school for about seven weeks a few months ago. She should be fined for constantly letting him off as he isn't getting a proper education.

Was it one of those "we're not interested in minor things like a bit of cannabis" type interviews?

My neighbour trying to get his ownback. He supposedly was being very abusive in my building so police came round found large quantity of amphetamine. So starts hauling '' that bastard up there got 7 plants up there''.

Honestly it's virtually legal unless you've put seed in the pot. Police are not interested in small quantities of cannabis anymore. You get odd copper who's not got thr memo I suppose but even then it's simple case of ''put it'' ''take it out of view.' However most officers I've come across here wont even care if you've big fat blunt on the go, and find get more of a comical reaction than any form of telling off.

Yes, public liability insurance.

I have only seen the first one of Fridays episodes but one SOR,amongst others is, when the police were putting Simon into the police car, I'm sure they drove off without him having his seat belt on. Wouldn't the police have a duty to ensure he was safe before speeding off.
