Don't be ridiculous Rich Tea. Where is the reality in a local shop with good trade?! Ping pong on a bank holiday Monday is where reality lies!

As if a prison officer would just stand there watching Rob on the phone and then open the door and say nothing. Can't the Corrie team just pay these extras a few quid more to say a line or two?

No vicaring for the Vicar again. Seems to have spent the morning in Roy's and the afternoon in the Rovers

I see the season of goodwill is in full swing in Corrie.

Carla was at home snarling about Johnny and meanwhile in the Rovers, Michelle was snarling at Johnny on Carla's behalf. Why does everything always have to be such a bl@@dy drama for that woman and why does Michelle always have to have her say?

I see after all the fuss over her hair and refusing to pay, that Nessa woman is still employed at the hairdressers and is organising a New Year's Eve do at Ken's place because it's what Deirdre would want! Cheeky moo!

Speaking of Deirdre, Ken the sanctimonious, self-righteous hypocrite was in a forgiving mood with Tracy tonight. Bless you Sir Kenneth.

Kev was a bit OTT with Ty. Did he go that berserk when Sophie nicked £20,000 out of his bank account?

The look of surprise on Tyrone's face that someone he owes money to should turn up and demand payment.

Are we meant to feel sorry for Tyrone? He equates the ammount you spend on somebody with how much you love them, puts his young family at risk of losing their home and belongings, tries stealing from his work partner and is handing out dodgy cheques to honest people who worked on Christmas day for him and then looks put out when they call around to ask why the cheque has bounced. He's the dimmest character on the street, can't the new Producer drop a block of flats onto him and his ogre of a wife and do us all a favour?

That Nessa really gets on my wick; she's so unsuited to Ken and she sticks her oar in where it's not wanted. How dare she tell Ken that Deirdre would have wanted him to have a party - she didn't even know Deirdre! Neither did I appreciate her sticking her tuppence worth in when Tracey was being a bitch the other week. She's only known the Barlows a couple of months, yet behaves as though she's known them for years. I'm surprised she's not mentioned Uncle Albert yet.

That was an odd scene. It was as if the director forgot to shout "cut!" so the two actors just stood there doing nothing.

It's clearly a local shop for local people.

It was Corrie's way of showing that Rob has been found out and is about to have his phone confiscated and will end up being fined and losing some remission. Possibly some cellular confinement too.

And possibly have his cell and person searched for any other contraband

I was actually starting to wonder whether that prison actually had any prison officers the way Rob was constantly calling people.

That's why Emily went to the church - it was the only place in Weatherfield she could be sure that Rev. Billy wouldn't be.

Were we meant to feel sorry for Ty when the 'evil' man called for this money?!

What a perfect word to describe Fiz. That awful scream she did at Hope. 👹🙅

Yes, for inbred types like Fiz, Tyrone, Chesney, Beth, Sinead, Kirk, Anna, Gary, Faye, Kathy, Nessa, Eileen, Michael, Kevin, Sophie and Tim etc. Mind you the Connors are looking fairly close these days! Carlas forgets she was doing her husband's brother! At it like rabbits, the loit of them! 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

Just wait till Ken and Nessa get a tandem!

Of course Dev's shop is that, but it's positively insular! Local doesn't mean just one street in town is served.

Why on earth, Peru

We have so many organisations run by volunteers these days, why couldn't Spider be volunteering down South somewhere. I can see Emily has to be written out but at least make it believable. Seriously, volunteering in Peru at her age?

Peru or Portsmouth......what difference can it make? She'll be off screen whatever.

Pathetic

I'm guessing it had to be somewhere far enough away where she couldn't just pop back every now and then to say hello. It needed to be somewhere where they can use the excuse that her flight was cancelled, there was adverse weather or some other natural occurrence that will keep her away for a long time

Yes, I see what you mean, although, other characters like Martin Platt only moved to Liverpool and he never pops back even though he has a son on the Street.

Wasn't the logic behind this that it would be safer? I'm no expert, but I'm fairly sure that it's harder, at least for novice cyclists, to keep balance on a tandem than on a bicycle, as you are having to anticipate what the other person is doing all the time. A couple of adult tricycles would have been better!
