Surely the political party would be responsible for the election expenses. Sally being an Independent will only have to pay her own expenses.

They would have had order for x number of pairs of knickers and ordered sufficient of the agreed fabric for that number plus a bit more for failures. When the order had been completed, they would dispose of whatever fabric is left.

Some factories would allow staff to take what's left or have someone buy the roll ends to sell on a market stall or something similar.

They wouldn't keep ends of rolls which would only make a dozen pairs of knickers. The orders are for hundreds or thousands of pairs.

Poor Simon he didn't break that lad's leg on purpose. Simon is upset. So now Leanne is all head in hands and apologetic. It is all Leanne's fault. The fact that Simon has been giving Leanne a good clout every now and again has been completely forgotten. Now Simon is off to see his dad and might not come back. Maybe he'll return with a new head!

Sean has thrown Sally out of the Rovers for talking politics. Brendan's wife went in the Rovers and gave Mary a good clout, but nothing happened. Michelle didn't do anything. Yet she was threatening to sort Tracy out for Carla! Good old Michelle Connor where would Carla be without her gnashing sidekick? ◔_◔

I certainly agree with those saying it was a terrible episode with so many scenes making me feel like I've seen them before.

Councillors get allowances once they've been elected, and I imagine they can also claim expenses.

Why would council taxpayers pay the expenses of candidates?

How long has Ken had a car? Have we ever seen it, and where does he park it?

It still bothers me how the Andy and Michael thing never got resolved. We had Andy mentioning his dad tonight, are they still in contact? I assumed Andy didn't have a good childhood or relationship with his father thus why he grew close to Michael. Not that you ever see them interacting much anymore. Michael makes a sudden reappearance after being missing two months and we have him going on about cupboard doors. It's good to know that story with that woman he robbed has been sucked into the wormhole full of forgotten storylines.

Is Gail even still married to Michael? Something else that doesn't seem to be made a big deal of.

No idea where he (or any other resident) parks their cars. Their cars seem to magically appear outside their houses as and when the story line requires.

I wish it were that easy in real life.

Why was Sally calling Michael Andy's father when the whole world must know he isn't? And why was Andy quoting his father's sayings when we were led to believe he was vile and dumped him or something?

Indeed, Anna is already arguing with Kevin and looking fed up in front of him. That is NOT the way a couple who have been dating for three or four weeks behave. There doesn't seem to be even the slightest hint of attraction or chemistry between them. They're more like a couple who are thoroughly sick of the sight of each other already.
