Carla should just tell Robert what shes up to. Robert will tell her to sling her hook and then start up with Leanne ..Robert wont want Nick knowing for fear of losing his job and head chef ! in a back street bistro. Robert might not want to own a bistro and Tracy would see even less of him than she does now.
Yes, though'd think savvy Carla would've thrown that right at Tracy from the off.

Also how ridiculous that Liz just leaves Sally alone in the cab office when there is no one there to man the switch, does she not care that her son has a share in it and hence could be losing business?
Why couldn't Michael cover for Fat Brenda? At least he knows how to use the switch!

1. Barely a minute into tonight's first episode and we're treated to Carla in her fancy flat, filling in all the goss to her BFF Michelle. Yawn!! Why would Michelle accept Carla's decision to pack up and leave, just like that? But worse of all, why is Carla this weak, helpless character, when she's built up to be something else. Sure, smokes and mirrors, but the Corrie writers can't have it both ways. That she's ruthlessly spitful about snobby Sally, can call the shots in the factory, but unable to outhink Tracy? Who she has got the better of so many times before.

2. Why can't Anna tell Kevin the truth? What has she got to lose? Pride?? I'm sorry but she lost that years ago with her loutish behaviour. As ever, she needs a man beside her to do the dirty (Eddie, then she got Owen to get rid of him, and now Kevin/'Phelan). And when she doesn't get her way she smashes things. Vile character.

3. Anna acting as though Kevin's the best thing that's happened to her in years. Ha! Horrible pacing, at times they were squabbling as if they'd been married for 20 years.

4. Surely Yasmin would be a better fit for this counsellor s/l. Or that Sally would have got her expertise about the 'community'. Photo opps at the 'community' centre..........

5. How on earth can Robert afford to buy the bistro, didn't his ex clear him out? Surely Tracy would've thought this through, but then again, she doesn't.

6. Sinead's photos. She's not bad looking, but why was she dressed up as some child? Looked like an extra off Grange Hill. If this storyline goes the way I think it does, Chesney will put a stop to her modelling 'career'. He's such a wet towel, get rid!!

7. Beth's rash has healed, huzzah! One way to tell if it's a Jonathan Harvey script.........her character would make an obscure pop knowledge reference.

8. Liz minding Streetcars? Since when?

9. Eileen and Jason not suspicious of Phelan's intentions?? Especially as Jason phoned the number he was given and managed to secure work just like that. It's not everyday that their neighbour mad Anna smashes vans either...........
1. Is that the new thing? Carla and Michelle sitting drinking coffee and discussing Carla's latest problems? It's always all about Carla. Michelle is always the sidekick. And you are right about Carla and her multiple personalities! Ruthless bitch or sweet princess? Make your mind up Corrie.

2. Anna Windass was well OTT last night and then some. The acting was dreadful as well.

3. But Corrie sorted this. After two dates and a sh@g, Anna and Kevin announced they were a couple.

4. Briliiant idea. Perhaps Yasmeen can join Sally and Norris in the race for the councillor's job. That would make it even funnier than it's going to be with Norris competing with Sally! And what about Mary also joining in?

5. Part of his divorce settlement? Either way we have a repeat of Tracy and Tony and the Rovers. Now Tracy is set on her and her latest bloke taking over another Corrie business.

6. I agree. I thought the same. Corrie probably didn't want to go for a grown woman sexy look. But the school-girl look was a bit pervy! Chesney.

7. Beth's latest rash as opposed to all her other rashes and SLs ..... zzzzzzzzzzz. Did she even bother to consult a doctor?

8. Michelle Connor says she is running her own business and all Steve's business whilst he's away. Except that she isn't. Last night Liz was sorting Streetcars and Liz was working in the Rovers. Michelle was sorting Carla which is all she seems to do. There's nowt wrong with Michelle having scenes with Carla but we've never seen her in the cab office and she's rarely in the pub.

9. Jason's thick and Eileen just sees a bloke to flirt with.

Has Carla ever been to the police about Tracy starting the fire in the flat? Tracy does not hold all the cards...................

those episodes were so boring ever little Jerk was bored, and he was in it. only time he looked remotely happy was when Faye gave him his toy truck, then takes him for a random bath?

least he looked like a normal 2/3 year old not like smart Joseph who always looked like he was attending a wedding

Holy f#ck......what the Hell was that scene with Anna attacking Phelan's van all about? Why was she growling like her out of The Exorcist ? I simply can't accept that the production team sat and watched that infantile nonsense and thought it was okay to make the cut. It was appalling. If Debbie Rush has any semblance of dignity or decency, she'll be rightly embarrassed when she sees that. Once again I have to ask this...who the Hell is writing this shite?
We sat in sheer astonishment watching that, not knowing whether to weep or laugh uncontrollably - settled for derisive laughter.

I've never seen anything on Corrie as ridiculously badly acted, not even when wotsit from that group tried to act Robert's wife. Anna snarling and growling like a mad dog - wtf?

Isn't he meant to be 4 though? Bit like Invisible Lily who is 3 this summer and on rare sightings looks about a year younger than she is.

Anna's furious, so what does she do?

Goes home, opens up a bottle of wine and glugs it furiously in front of Jake and Faye. Great role model,

I'm loving the election storyline, even if it is a bit like a dated sitcom. Did make me LOL a few times.

Also chuckled a bit when Anna was smashing up the van and David said "this takes me back"

Every scene that's in Carla's flat or the Bistro is so tedious.

Regarding Phelan - I know Jason's a bit dense but surely he can see that Phelan's up to no good. If Phelan is a good builder and can get contracts with ease, why does he need to work for Jason?

And why doesn't Anna just tell kevin what actually happened??

I really hope Kevin meant what he said last night about finishing with Anna, I know Kevin is nothing special , but he surely isn't that desperate?
Even when she came round his house at night to suck up to him, she hadn't even bothered to tidy herself up, still with her dirty hair and wearing that old coat she wears to the cafe every day, which must stink of grease. Also, why did she say he's the best thing to happen to her in years? Has she forgot about Owen, who couldn't do enough for her, and was way too good for her IMO?

Anyway, I see Eileen has glammed herself up for Phelan, with her new hairdo and suntan!

I have seen many examples of bad acting in this programme over the last few years, but never as bad as Anna last night. She was stomping about like a demented toddler having a tantrum. Ridiculous.

And should Jake really be riding along on Izzy's knee while she is steering her wheelchair on a public street. As someone else said, he should be walking.

I agree with everyone else, her growling bashing up of the van was an embarrasment to watch, why on earth did she have to make those pathetic sounds as if she's been struck down with rabies...awful...then that whiny so called model with gummy bear chesney.....her voice is doing my head in and i have to turn the sound down as soon she speaks....
"Norrrrr, give orverrr.........." etc.....

Why didn't Chesney lock the door when they went out? I'd imagine that Kirk was already at work and Craig was at college/on his way so there'd be nobody home.

Why instead of of a normal child did they put a dummy on Izzy's lap representing Jake? It must have been uncomfortable for him to ride on Izzy and to stare into space ignoring Anna and Izzy.

How dare Phelan get a job! Absolutely disgraceful! Poor Anna smashing up his van, what a completely reasonable reaction... And then she threatened Craig, how can anyone look at her sympathetically now?

Why is Zeedan acting as a waiter showing Alya to her seat? I know they're brother and sister but that's not his job, he needs to be told to stay in the kitchen, the same with Robert.

How is streetcars a "smashing little business"? Uber must be crippling most taxi firms in Manchester and those are just the ones that are run well, streetcars hasn't had a proper manager in there for months now.

Surely Tim can just not sign the contract? He likes to be a window cleaner so let him be one. Forcing a career on someone is not an acceptable thing to do, how are people on that street ok with it? Having said that he can still be a window cleaner, he doesn't actually have to work there because he owns part of it and it would probably earn him a bit more money that way. No doubt that he will work there though as this is corrie.

Why is Tim looked down upon from everyone on the street? He's one of the few realistic and nice human beings on the street and he actually has common sense unlike most of the other characters.

Anna and Kevin have been talking to each other for 3 months and dating for 6 weeks, how on earth is this "massive"? And she mentioned that Jenny is mentally ill (thank goodness more people are recoginising this) but what she did is what a mentally ill woman would do, acting like a rabid dog.

Why did they do the shoot at the factory instead of the photographers studio?? Really stupid to disrupt everyone's work, transport lights etc. Like did they especially need sewing machines or a grotty staff canteen in the background?
When we saw the pictures from the shoot Sinead was just in front of a plain background so there was no need for the shoot to take place in the factory at all as none of the machinery was even featured in the photos

I know others have mentioned it but I could not believe what I was watching in that scene with Anna smashing up Phelan's van.

It was one of the worst scenes ever on Bore-onation Street and what member of the human species makes noises like that?! Not just the noises but the expression on her face - she looked and sounded truly demented. A horrible, nasty excuse for a woman and Kevin would do well to steer clear of her if he has any sense.

I reckon the Anna van scene will go down in Corrie infamy along with Deirdre's 'crying' at Tracey Luv's hospital bedside a few years back...

Totally agree with everything you have said. She is totally demented and the acting was appalling. Hope Kevin doesn't change his mind

I was surprised as well, he looked as old as Jack

anna's van smashing was badly acted, should have got David to give her some tips, Jack P Shepherd did a better job when he lost it and did a bit of panel bashing how ever many years back that was
