Me neither.
It got rather tedious scrolling through the other posts just to read the SORs.

Not a SOR especially, but when oh when will Corrie characters learn that it never pays to give in to blackmail? Anna sleeps with Phelan, Carla gives Tracey whatever it is Tracey wants.. and numerous other instances with Callum, Kirsty etc, back into the mists of time.

Answer: Never, because blackmail is the sl that keeps on giving. The blackmailed character can behave completely badly and irrationally, while still having a 'reason' and keeping the audience's sympathy. Plus, there are numerous opportunities for lying to one's nearest and dearest (always a fave), complications involving other characters, blah blah de blah.

If I was a Corrie writer I'd have everyone blackmailing everybody else, pack my bags and take off for Bermuda for 6 months.

It was only a month ago when Carla told Aidan and Kate the truth that she was Johnny's daughter to stop Rob's blackmail. Cut to now where she is in a similar situation being blackmailed by Tracy, but won't tell the truth to Nick.

You'd think Michelle would bring up the fact that Tracy may tell Nick the truth once he has sold the business to Robert.

That's a damned good point.

The thing that seems most unrealistic to me about Steve (character) being in Spain for six months, is that Liz, being single and not newly married and prone to depression like her son, would surely have gone instead of him?

So Phelan loses his rag with Anna, and who should walk in to witness it?

Where's that rolling eyes icon?

Anna came out of the Kabin and went to the cafe. Norris and Rita were in the cafe. So who was running the Kabin?

Michelle did a bit of work tonight. She put a few beer mats out. Also she is without her eyeliner flicks tonight.

Phelan said Owen dumped Anna. He didn't. Anna dumped him.

As usual the bistro cabaret show goes on. Tracy is there to witness everything. Andy gives Steph her present to unwrap in the bistro right in front of customers. Really?

Meanwhile at Streetcars, Michael and Tim are the new LLoyd and Steve. Eileen is of course still Eileen.

And Gail is now a waitress at the bistro.

A minus? We're not in America, we don't do A pluses and A minuses even in the first few years of high school when grades are taken less seriously. It's A's and A*'s in England unless something has changed within the past few years. No wonder Amy wanted to show off her project when she got such a unique grade in this country.

I got grades with + and - when I was at school in the 80s

Not on GCSEs or anything, but homework, reports, definitely.

And another thing.

Didn't Eileen say she was on duty at lunchtime/12? Then Michael said it was her afternoon off.

Did that really happen or did I imagine it?

it's as bad as hollyoaks where everybody lies to cover their back or somebody else's then is mortally offended when they find they are being lied to themselves

Yet again somebody else destined to work on the street, Aleya's boring new friend has got an interview at the medical centre, does anybody think she just might get the job?

As soon as she said she was a nurse I told Mr Faye she'd be getting a job at the medical centre. He now thinks I'm a soothsaying genius

What's the betting she gets put up at the Nazir's tardis too?

No you didn't imagine it. She definitely said she was starting her shift at 12 (or lunchtime) - can't remember her exact words!.

What in the chicken coop?! And she walked out of the bistro without paying her bill!

Thanks! Can't the scriptwriters remember anything? Then again, do they care? Whatever fits the plot/scene.

When she (what is her name??) appeared that morning she looked very ordinary yet when she was eating in the Bistro she was all dolled up. Where did she go to get ready? It was only later when she was back at the Nazir's that Alya offered to lend her some of her clothes for the interview.

Gail was talking in the street with longer hair, next minute she is in the bistro with shorter hair.

With his notson who he instantly forgave for deceiving him, taking his money, and stealing from his wife's son.
Come to think of it, Nick instantly forgave him too.
Everybody forgave everybody apart from Gail.

I used to have a doll that did that. Gail probably has a wind up key in her back.

Last week there was a Heartbeat rerub from 10 years ago, One characters looked familiar but it tooks some time to recognise as 'Phelan' albeit looking more than 10 years younger than now.

One thing that struck me was that Heartbeat did not have the obligatory 'quotas' seemingly so necessary in modern made programmes but which are far from accurate in some of today's dramas, historical and modern. Corrie especially.

That happens in all great productions! Watch Dorothy's plaits/bunches in The Wizard of Oz - they're up and down like a flippin' yoyo!

Where do they live? Does Steph live with them too? Last I can remember she was sharing a flat with Tina.
I really must pay more attention!
