Yes, but it wasn't a REAL present, and was given at that point to shut her up and put her off the scent of what he was up to (the second one was given to stop her phoning her friends and organising a night out).

Nick was also in on it, if he gave her a kettle at home before work, she probably would have not bothered coming in!!
Yes, I know all that but would he really give her a present, any present, right in the middle of the bistro, during service, with customers eating and drinking all around them?

Your supposition is not really relevant. The point is what actually happened. Imagine going for a meal and/or drink and the staff are carrying on with their social lives and opening their birthday presents right next to you. Very unprofessional. It was not a fitting place. But then Carla proposing to tell Nick about Robert whilst sitting in the midst of the bistro was also a stupid idea.

Anyone would think the bistro was a social club for the staff and management. The chefs now spend more time out of the kitchen than in it, all business is done at the bar and why was Gail a waitress last night?

Indeed Michael is very quick to judge and mistrust someone considering he has a criminal past too.
Yes but Michael is a goodie now.

Corrie loves to divide it's characters into very obvious goodies, baddies, eccentrics, feisty woman, bosses, minions etc...........

We all know it's only a matter of time until Anna is vindicated and Kevin gallops up on his white charger, gathers up up in his strong muscular arms and they live happily ever after.

Dear Corrie Bods,

Please give Anna Windass a new coats and some new boots. And if you can stretch to it, a regular cut and blow at Audrey's.

Best regards

It's all contrived so that the relevant people are always there to pass judgement and comments to the other relevant people. like the way Tracy was always there whenever the sale of Nicks share of the Bistro was mentioned.

Tim is the founding member of Team Kev. Wonder where big gob Sophie was last night? She's usually glued to daddy's side. If the fisticuffs had gone ahead her and Eileen could have had a comedy brawl. Although those two would be good for a real street fight!

Now that Simon has been cleared of assaulting that lad, what's happening with the SL? I was left with the impression that Simon was now the innocent party and Leanne was now the baddie. So it's up to her to make amends and put their relationship back together.
Though it's still the case that Simon assaulted Leanne and hospitalised her last year and effectively got away with it. Besides, Simon seems to be the one with all the problems not Leanne.....their relationship is in trouble because he is going off the rails.

I don't quite get how Anna can "make a go of things with Kev" but only if Phelan is not living in Weatherfield, as she alluded to in Friday's episodes? Surely her past with Phelan and current relationship with Kevin are two entirely separate things.

She is worried that Kevin will find out that she let Phelan shag her, when in reality what happened in her past is no business of Kevin's.

In that case, it doesn't really appear that Anna and Kevin "love" each other at all if she thinks that Kev would dump her on the spot over that incident.

Anyone would think Phelan was her ex and the two have feelings for each other the way she has being going on (!)

Anna sees Kevin as a meal ticket nothing more nothing less, very much the way she saw Owen the same way.

Alya and her friend saying her uni friend kept in touch (bit of a Walter Mitty) and was the one who was one of only 6 people who knew the whereabouts of Lord Lucan!, totally ridiculous, yes it has been recent news, but would it have been relevant when they were at uni?

They were hardly in the middle, she was sorting out cushions on a chair, probably in the corner somewhere, he took the present over (people on the next table didn't even notice, as they were behind a booth type wall).

I have been out for meals before, and it's one of the staffs special birthdays, and I have seen the management bring them flowers and embarrass them in front of everyone, that is in the REAL WORLD, so it does happen, i saw nothing wrong in it.

And please give her a hair net to wear when she is serving up food at Roy's Rolls.

Yes, I would agree. She doesn't seem to do "love" at all. Her relationships are entirely functional and when she's finished with the person, she gives them the boot.

Anna is trapped by Phelan in the cafe by an unlocked door and a closed sign

ever heard of fire exits

Simon was away last week visiting peter during half term
Amy comes in this week talking about her half term project, which you do during half term

typical lack of cohesion of storylines between the writers.

I thought the door was locked, and he only unlocked it when he was about to leave (before Anna started shouting and he came back in).

Also, being scared of him can freeze you on the spot, as she was backing up against the counter trying to back off.

Also, i presume Simon missed the first day of school as he was travelling back, and he was told not to forget he had school in the morning, whereas presumably Amy had been to school and taken her project in she had done the previous week, and had it marked?

They were in the bistro having a private moment. There were people in the next booth. It was, like many other cabaret happenings at the bistro - inappropriate. Why give someone a present where customers are eating and drinking?

If as you say, staff have been given presentations in their place of work eg. a bistro, then that's a different matter. They have chosen to make it a public event. That's real life Steph and Andy having a private moment amongst the customers whilst they are eating and drinking is a SOR, happens often at the bistro, is unprofessional and isn't real life.

Sorry, who has chosen to make it a public event? Not the person receiving the gift in these situations, as they showed embarrassment when receiving the gift, and they were shocked someone was giving them flowers in front of everyone.

Andy knows it's not the real present, it is a wind up, and to me, i can see it happening in real life (and has in my experience above, but with a real presents).

Yes, other things that happen in the Bistro are far fetched, but I myself do not believe this situation to be one of them, as they are all trying to wind her up!

You said:

That makes it a public event, as it is done in public in front of everyone. ^^^ BIB Quote - That did not happen here. So that ^^^ is irrelevant.

Yes, yes, we all know Andy knows it's not the real present and they were trying to wind her up.

That's not the issue. The issue is that he took her present and gave it to her amongst the tables in the bistro during service where paying customers were eating and drinking. That is a private matter and like so many other private matters it was played out in the bistro in front of customers. IMO it was a SOR. You can think whatever you like.

It was only a month ago when Carla told Aidan and Kate the truth that she was Johnny's daughter to stop Rob's blackmail. Cut to now where she is in a similar situation being blackmailed by Tracy, but won't tell the truth to Nick.
I'd forgotten that!! Also, Luke being forced to drive in illegal races.

You'd think Michelle would bring up the fact that Tracy may tell Nick the truth once he has sold the business to Robert.
Quite. Also odd that Carla, with her razor-sharp brain and years of experience of Tracy's spitefulness, hasn't thought of that herself!

Several scenes with Rita and Doris together last night. So if they are both in cafe or pub who is minding the Kabin, or was Mary looking after Kabin she seems to float about from one work place to another

Tracy wants Rob to but Bistro, I assume she will want to be with him be a partner in the Bistro. £10 k short so cannot buy Bistro. Tracyluv, sell you florist then you will have enough

I have no idea how much a business is worth but would have thought £100 k for an 80% stake was quite low

I don't think she can sell it. Peter owns the property.

Does he? Didn't Carla bail him out? Then she did the same at the Rovers. And then someone bailed her out for the umpteenth time. Deja vu anyone?
