Some people wont go as they dont want to waste the GPs time . she was offered something to hep straight away by Erica, I think she said she had been taking painkillers anyway and they werent working.

Maybe if after the incident in the factory when she was pushed out of her wheelchair someone had actually called an ambulance for her instead of worrying about Sean's coat then she wouldn't be in this mess, surely any incident in a workplace that involved someone dislocating something a ambulance would be top priority for one of the management to call, so why didn't they?

I think she said she was ok didn't she? her pride was dented and all she wanted to do was get back in her chair and forget about it.

If they had done that then there would be no pain story.

I know, all the staff who work in the cafe look rather grubby to me including Roy, I certainly wouldn't eat there as it really would be rather off putting

Yes, they are a manky looking pair to be running a cafe, but then the regulars are not that fussy! Unbelievably, Kev is going around all lovesick for the fragrant Anna

Speaking of crap coats, what about that hideous camel coat that Steph never has off her back?

No if they had called the ambulance with out stopping to ask her if she required one that would be realistic and there wouldn't be a SOR over the issue.

In the real world I would say that it may take that long to get the paperwork done and maybe he didn't want any loose ends stopping them moving on.

However in the world of Corrie the bid will be accepted late on Friday and by Monday Robert will be in charge and all the paperwork will be complete

As ever, the Corrie writers come up with an interesting story, but have no idea how to execute it, they pick the wrong character to lead it and once it's all over and done with, make no effort to revisit it.

Just when I thought Erica was starting to find her feet, they go and make her some drug dealer. Who has all these contacts........pfft.

What guy carries around a pack of oregano in a pub? Seriously, does this thing go on in Manchester? Or was it done for comedic effect?

Has Izzy, someone portrayed as this level-headed woman, gone and seen the GP?

Another illustration of Corrie trying to drum up 'debate' over national issues but failing. Lazily ticking boxes because they were advised to by big organisations and trying to see which character could go where.

Faye's teenage pregnancy was an absolute shambles from start to finish. And I don't like where this slavery storyline is going...
”

Spot on. My thoughts exactly.

Mind you the Izzy storyline does give her the chance to run the gamut of her many facial expressions. From pained to constipated in 60 seconds.

Nick owns 80%, which he says is worth £100,000.

Therefore £10,000 is worth 8% (although Leanne could push for more by stating without her 10%, Rob would have nothing).

Who doesn't Tracy just ask Carla for £10,000 to cover the difference, simples!!

I always carry an emergency supply of oregano, in case there's not enough in my hotpot.

That is exactly what she does do.

I think we're meant to assume she's tried that.
leanne alwayys has nice coats, I feel and I rather like Sally's dark gray with the silver buttons.

I must admit i was caught out by the oregano, I'd assumed it was going to end up in the spag bol somehow.

No when Erica asked Izzy if she had been to see her GP, Izzy replied that she hadn't.

I don't see it as an SOR.

Everyone in the street and factory knows that Izzy has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (as does the actress) and how it affects her. As she said, when a joint dislocates, she just puts it back in so she's used to it happening.

I have a different condition but even my hospital practitioner has suggested I try cannabis when prescribed pain medication isn't sufficient (apparently it's freely available in any of the pubs on the local quay), but I never have - wouldn't know what it looked like, smelled like or what to do with it. Prefer relaxation and deep breathing which eventually eases it.

An alcoholic stupor would ease her pain but wouldn't mix with the medication she's already taking.

Fair enough, but I do, so we will have to agree to disagree.

I'm sure you're not the only one to disagree, but then I assume you don't have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or suffer great pain from another condition which isn't relieved by prescribed medication, or had it suggested by a medical person that you try cannabis.

Admittedly it's badly acted and the story itself could have been better, but it isn't uncommon for pain sufferers to seek relief by using cannabis.

And of course I'm only giving my opinion and didn't claim to be speaking for others.

You are exactly right, most employers would insist an ambulance should be called for a employee sustaining an injury that involved a dislocation while at work, they certainly wouldn't accept that employee saying they were ok, a fine example of a SOR happening in that respect no denying that.

Can you please try not to be quite so condescending, everyone is entitled to their opinion, as you stated what you are saying is your opinion, please allow others to have theirs, thank you.

If Izzy called an ambulance every time she dislocated, she'd spend half her life in one. They know what her condition is and accepted that she knows her own body and how to deal with it.

Epileptics don't always go off in an ambulance if they have a seizure at work. If they say they don't need one, that's accepted.

But this incident happened in the workplace different rules apply and it would not have been Izzy calling the ambulance in this case it would have been her employer, what Izzy chooses to do or not do in her own home is her concern, but while at work it is her employers concern.

Exactly this, employers these days have to be so careful there is no way a responsible employer would have reacted so flippantly.

Yeah they all seemed far more concerned about Sean's coat getting nicked, just shows how much Izzy's work colleagues care about her.

I am not being condescending but I am feeling stalked.

If you look back, you'll see that every time I post something Ouroboros replies directly to me within a minute or so.

The last one was
Quote:
“Fair enough, but I do, so we will have to agree to disagree.”

as if I'd directed my post at him in order to disagree with him in particular, and not just posting a general opinion directed at no-one, that for me it isn't an SOR. There was no need for a response at all.

But you did quote his post to say you didn't think it was a SOR, which could indicate you was disagreeing with him..

And what is with you claiming to being stalked, people do reply to other peoples posts on here, he did mine and I have his, it's what happens on a discussion forum, I think you are just being a tad paranoid in thinking you are being stalked.
