How was Izzie planning on using the cannabis in the minute before her guests arrived for tea, or was she going to put it in the spag bol?

Exactly, what's the sudden rush for Nick, are we supposed to believe he's selling his 'baby' just to please Carla? And if he's so attached to the Bistro why is he selling at all? Leanne is quite capable of managing it, and Robert can run the kitchen. Presumably he and Carla own their flats in the (miraculously speedily repaired) Victoria Court and will be selling those which will fund the move to Devon? Doesn't he think it's a little strange and unfair that Carla's in no particular rush to sell her share of Underworld yet she's pushing him to sell his business at below market value?

It looks like I will have to be careful who I respond to in future as it appears to offend some when I do.

There were any number of posts I could have quoted, but that one was the first relevant one when going back up through them. Could have quoted any of the others, but silly me, I chose that one and again got an immediate response.

It's obvious to me that he and I disagree on a lot, but that's just a fact of life, probably due to a great difference in age and life experience, as is true with a lot of other posters. I don't need to have a reply to every time I post just as none of us do. But it will stop, because I won't quote any of his in future, I'll make sure I choose someone else's if I want to answer something specific or give an opinion on the subject.

In this case - to everyone who says that Izzy getting cannabis from a dealer is an SOR - it isn't FOR ME because I've had it suggested by my hospital practitioner that I do it because prescribed medication doesn't always do the trick and with some medication there's only a certain amount which can be prescribed within a specific time. It's also likely that she isn't in pain all the time but has episodes of it.

I know many will still say it doesn't happen, but then calling me a liar is likely to result in a response. There is nothing to disagree with - it's what I've experienced.

The story hasn't been written well.

Two SORs that have now become so annoying and unbelievable that we have finally stopped watching CS, after many, many years.

1. Michelle - she ALWAYS looks the same. No one always looks the same, every day, whatever time of day. Every other female cast member is shown looking less than perfect if the script demands it ie with no make up, unwashed hair, slobby clothes etc but never Michelle! She must have it written into her contract, I am sure! You just know that her make up and hair will be perfect, whatever she is doing, which these days just seems to be hanging around with Carla, nodding her head.
2. Tracey - in RL, no one would have anything to do with her. Robert would leave, Ken would throw her out. Why is it that she seems to be able to say and do what she wants and no one does anything? They all seem to live in terror of being her next victim and let her get away with whatever she wants. It just doesn't happen like that! Its so unrealistic. Everyone would ignore her normally. Plus, even when they do retaliate, she just looks pouty for a second, cries a bit and then does exactly the same thing. Its boring and predictable and I no longer care about anyone in the cast.

No it's quite ok for you to respond to my posts, I'm not that paranoid.

It does seem as if that person has a problem with you, we can't all get a long I suppose that would be too much to expect.

I only have a problem if someone disagrees with every post I make within a minute of it being made. Paranoia doesn't come into it.

He responded to the one before last, but not the last. So hopefully it's stopped.

Yes, Roy also looks grubby as does the cafe in general. Everything in there including the staff needs a good scrub! It's like Fiz and Ty's gaff. I definitely wouldn't eat there.

Well at least you and I agree what happened to Izzy and the fact an ambulance not being called to the factory was a SOR, I do have enough experience of work place environments in the real world to know that one would have been called for sure.

Anna isn't a bad looking woman and when she's 'done up' she's ok. Although that hair needs cutting! It's only when she's in greasy spoon mode or wearing that coat and boots that she looks disgusting.

Steph's coat v Anna's coat?

I can see a problem with fried bacon and eggs and all the trimming every day, but then I suppose that's what you'd expect from a greasy spoon like Roy's Rolls. Can't see a huge problem with grilled lean bacon and poached egg on toast with some baked beans once a week.

Does that mean that Roy's Rolls will have to serve up salads and fruit instead of their current fare and the, apparently, daily cake run will stop?

Corrie have a look for their characters and never seem to change it. The character must look the same at all times. Michelle is definitely a very noticeable one. Those ridiculous eyeliner flicks at the corners of her eyes disappeared recently. Oh, for the days of Bet with her pot of tea, bits of toast, rollers in, fag on the go, putting her face on in the Rovers back room!

Sorry for the separate post but I can't seem to get the multiple quote thing working!

Or Bet with her hair hanging down, in a dressing gown and her face covered in a mud pack - and, of course, with fag in hand.

Indeed and that is why SOR moments like that are so noticed by anyone that has had any experience of workplace environments, especially by those like me who have had some health and safety in the workplace training.

It wasn't to be taken that seriously. The DM singled out Corrie. EE are just as bad for greasy fry ups. I was just taking the opportunity to have a joke about Corrie's bacon barm fiends - Fiz and Ty.

Yeah but that's not what Roy's greasy spoon is about. It's all about fried stuff and more than once a week.

I realise that, but as Corrie is the only soap I watch, I can't comment on them or their characters even as a joke as I have no experience of them.

Wasting two and a half hours a week on one soap is sufficient for me.

I don't think this is a SOR either. And I'm sure many people with chronic pain would agree. GPs will prescribe painkillers that do some good, better than nothing, but at times they don't do anything like enough and you feel desperate as Izzy did. I've been tempted to try cannabis but am put off by not knowing how to get it, or what to do with it since I wouldn't smoke it.

But oh dear, Izzy has the strangest accent and so false. It's cringeworthy.

But pretty accurate. I know from experience that people are left without pain relief waiting ages for a doctor appointment, and on "This Morning" today I think they said a million people are taking cannabis for medicinal reasons.

Time for a mutual ignoring I think. It is not worth annoying yourselves.

I look forward to Tyrone ordering falafal and salad in a wholemeal seeded balm.

The SOR bit for me was what happened in the factory after Izzy was knocked to the floor I have enough experience of health and safety in the work place to know in a situation like that an ambulance would have be called without question, as for the people taking cannabis for pain management I know it happens and I am not disputing that.

You are much better at explaining things than me as that was the SOR I was referring to and not the use of cannabis.

Except I got accused of stalking someone for having that opinion.

My post:

'Them' being EE?

But the joke wasn't about EE. The joke comment was a continuation of the ongoing SOR thread joke about Fiz and Ty and their love of bacon barms.

EE was only referred to in order to say that they also do fry-ups but it was Corrie the DM chose to mention in the article.
