I was watching Invasion Earth just a few weeks back. It's one of my guilty pleasures, probably because I used to watch it as a kid.

Talking about DW repeats, in case you missed the thread elsewhere, don't forget that The Face of Evil (parts 1 & 2) is on tonight at 7pm, BBC Four. Parts 3 & 4 are on tomorrow, same time.

Enjoyed the stories but preferred originals

I got both films on blu ray for Christmas. I enjoyed them as a kid but I was always a bit hung up on them not being 'proper' Who. It's funny that for me they're now perhaps the most nostalgia soaked things I can watch on my TV.

They're good action stories but it's hard to see past them being cash-in films, putting across the message that the Daleks are the main stars and the Doctor is just a bland old nobody. In the 2nd film especially, the co-stars are more interesting than the main characters.

That's why I like the first film and dislike the sequel.
