Been thinking about dances that are memorable for the right and wrong reasons, both the ones that will be remember by everyone and the ones that just us as fans of x, y, z...

It's not about your favourite dances, is about the ones it's the ones you think people will remember pretty well without having to watch again.
Good or bad.

Georgia's Charleston, Samba, AS, Tango, Salsa, Jive, Rumba (either version)
Jay's Jive
Kellie's Charleston & VW (only because I can't get the song out of my head)
Jeremy's thriller dance at Halloween - think it was a salsa???

It'll probably be a case of I'll hear a particular song and I'll remember other dances.

Jay & Aliona's Jive is the standout by a long way.

Apart from that I think there's only Helen & Aljaz's Viennese Waltz, Georgia & Giovanni's American Smooth and Charleston, Kellie & Kevin's American Smooth and Tango and Jay & Aliona's Tango and Rumba. It was a season low on standout dancing in my opinion.

Plus a few dances that are obviously memorable for all the wrong reasons!

The horse, the tomatoes, the exploding poppy, the Char-less-ton, Peter's Charleston, Jay's rumba, Kellie's AS (maybe*) and Helen's VW.

* already it's fading into second place behind Patrick and Anya's AS with the messy lift and All That Fabulousness!

The James Bond rumba too, thanks to Len's impromptu rage

Jays jive for all the right reasons,
It was actually a jive that was a proper jive and would not have looked out of place on a competition floor.
The other dances for me by any dancer, have almost been forgotten, even though I may have enjoyed them at the time. All the other dances ( ballroom and latin anyway) were an imitation of the real thing, but that Jive was spectacular.

From the point of view of truly remembered by everyone, I only think Jay's jive. I think it's the only dance that will stay in the collective memory.

Also, remembered but not as much by most strictly fans: Georgia Charleston, Anita's paso (good/bad reasons), Jeremy moments (shower, horse...), Aisnley salsa.

Aside from them, I will remember most of Jays (tango, waltz, paso, rumba,Charleston, showdance), Georgias samba and rumba, Kellies AS, some of Anita's (salsa ), Katie's rumba.as much as I liked Helens VW and Foxtrot I doubt that I will remember them properly, if anything I will remember more her samba and her paso.

I think people will remember she got 40, the train and it was full on, but won't actually remember the dance itself. One week on and the only moves I remember are the train and the leg dragging!!

I remember more her QS or her AS.

Oh God they're going to be hauling that bloody horse out from here to eternity aren't they? It wasn't even Jeremy's best comedy routine (*cough*THRILLER ZOMBIES*cough*)

Jeremy's My Little Horsie (horrendous but impossible to forget)

Agreed. But also can I just add (Peter Andre like) Gleb and Anitas Foxtrot to New York, New York for entirely sentimental reason.

My Mum has what we euphemistically describe as 'memory problems' and struggles to concentrate on whole shows so missed most of Strictly. However we spent a lovely evening recently of me showing her the dances on my ipad and this one she particularly loved.

It was like watching 'Errol Flynn dance to Sinatra', she says. So yeah, that one.

But that is part of why I asked the question. Sometimes memorable dances are their eat not even by comedic value.
