I'm going to miss Fatboy !!!
Fair enough he never was a massive character but there was something really charming about him and when he had his little moments to shine I think he was great . It's good sometimes to have those background characters as well who give a little relief to all the drama and misery sometimes which I think he was . I think it was a mistake personally to get rid of him going to miss him
.

.I reckon he recognised mrs O (claudette) and threatened to out her so she silenced him. the biggest thing is his relationship with Dot, Its cruel that she now thinks he has upped and left and doesn't want to know her. fatboy was the closest thing to a decent son she ever had |

Twatboy didn't offer me any relief. His squeaky Ali G impressions caused me many headaches over the years. To those who liked him, take comfort in the fact we never saw his body and this is DTC's EastEnders so he's probably still alive.

He is also another late teen twenty something character to disappear.
Now Fatboy leaving impacts on Dot ... she basically has no-one now to be close to ... hence the return of Jack. What will happen to the car lot ... Fatboy was running that ... maybe that's where they will put Jack. Dean is another twenty something that they will no doubt be soon getting rid off. Hence cue the Stacey parallel family (transgender boy et al). |

Fatboy was definitely popular - there was a reason why a character that initially was meant to last about 3 months lasted about 6 years. Apparently the reason why he was axed had nothing to do with popularity but something to do with "professionalism".
And a quick google search turns up the following: Ricky's departure comes 16 months after he was suspended for eight weeks when a short video clip emerged of him allegedly smoking marijuana while performing a sex act. The eight-and-a-half minute film, taken from a private Skype call, was being touted for sale to an x-rated website. A statement from BBC said at the time: "Ricky Norwood has been suspended from the show for a period of two months with immediate effect. In addition, Ricky would like to apologise to 'EastEnders' viewers for any offence caused and for bringing the show into disrepute." |

they really need to fill that void aswell with characters of that age. take the stacey/shabs/martin/Kush mess. if they split the two couples up, the only options gor different partners is stacey &kush and Shabs and martin there is no one else in their age group
Ps the other thing with Fatboy being axed is it has left Donna's love interest vacant again. So it impacts on her character. |

I will miss Fatboy. Why on earth have they written out such a well liked character. A real mistake.

I will and I won't. For a character who never had many storylines, he was never really off screen and he did engage with many characters. He was a constant regular in the vic. If Fatboy's death is ever revealed, I can see this hitting the square and many characters very hard.

I really couldn't stand him when he first arrived, but he grew on me. His relationship with Mrs B was heartwarming. I shall miss him now.

Never grew out of his Fatboy persona, never really offered much to the show. The fact that people were still regularly calling him "Fatboy" before he died says it all. I do agree though that it's bad that yet another late teens/early 20's character has gone down the drain. It's not good for the programme if the writers just keep on doing that.
