And possibly her tireless support of the Tory party, too.

What I want to happen:

Babs arrives at the Palace, and is escorted to Her Majesty's private apartments... but upon her arrival is horrified to discover that Sharon is now the Queen.

"Bet you thought you'd never see me again".

Good grief as if she wasn't unbearable before, she'll be ten times worse now...

"Sir" Lenny, "Sir" Bruce and now "Dame" Barbara. Can the honours system sink any lower? Scraping the barrel.

I think you definitely suit that title Aaron. I would knight you myself if I could!

Oh you have to be bloody joking

Hammy acting and getting her boobs out in the carry on films. She's no Maggie Smith or Judi Dench, is she?.

The fact she has resorted to doing bingo ads and panto means she has little credibility in the acting world anyway.

Good for her. There shouldn't be snobbery when awarding people

Over 70 years in Showbusiness. If anyone deserved a knighthood it was Bruce Forsyth. Don't be such a bloody snob.

She's not been given it for her acting so I think that comparison is unfair.

Joan Collins is also a Dame.

Does this title come with the requirements that she can't do any more of those annoying tombola ads?
