I know most people don't care for these girls , but I was so looking forward to their album and future projects . I really wanted to believe something was going to happen .....but since this year is Over in a few days .....I think The group has disbanded and it's not going to happen .

Such a shame

And their careers seem to be taking pictures of themselves now = boring

Actually you are not saying much at all, it might be better to wait until the girls themselves say something.

Well from what I have heard they've been waiting to legally get the name "Sugababes" back from their own label, Keisha now owns the name in the US and they're just waiting to get it back for use in Europe, I'm guessing they're doing this so they can be the Sugababes again and finally make a grand comeback. I think its currently awaiting opposition from any third parties but as long as there isn't they should have the name back soon to use however they wish.

To be honest, I wasn't not too sure if there was still a fanbase for them since it has been a number of years now since they had songs both in the singles chart and albums in the album chart.

I just didn't think it was going to work somehow.

I have said the brand should be able to be used by all 6 members.
so they can all release music under the sugababes name whenever and wherever.
a first in music history surely?

anything can work, with the right material, if they release a good song with fair promotional backing then they will be successful, if they dont, they wont,

Does anybody else find this weird? MKS have their company that all three are directors of yet it's Keisha alone, not Sacred Three, trying to get the name.

Good luck to them, I hope they produce a brilliant album that does well and I'll buy it if it ever comes but I think this name thing is like throwing the deck chairs off the Titanic. It's not going to address whatever issues led to Flatline flatlining. I don't think Flatline bombed because it had MKS instead of Sugababes on the cover nor will it cover up the piss poor way they've handled the whole thing in regards to keeping us in the loop.

hmmmm.........

Even though, there would be people like yourself that are fans and would be prepared to listen, download and stream their new material, would there be a big "enough" fanbase though after them being away for a number of years. They would have to look at playing small venues and promote them through Facebook, SnapChat or Periscope. I don't see why they can't do that, but I'm just thinking in the long term how long could they keep it up for.

I never thought that for insurance that S Club 7 would appear on the BBC's Children in Need. The success of their performance got them praise on twitter and Facebook and
resulted in a tour but nothing much else. They were seen very much as a band that for the most part produced cheesy bubblegum pop music and closely associated with nostalgic with their fanbase. Once you look past those aspects, I don't think they really able to fit in with current trends and they probably knew that too.

I don't see why they can't just be good to their fans and just be honest. The delays has really been a "f u" to their fans .....so if they come back, I don't think most of their fans will care.

You might want to check the history of The Drifters on the use of band names.
