Nice to see Ted in the qualifiers although he has a very tricky game against the strong Canadian.
Duzza will be the bookies favourite but cannot rule out old Wolfie, Jamie Hughes or Scotty Dog making it two in a row. Coverage on BBC/BT Sport again |

So today is the slight crossover with the BDO and PDC comps both on at the same time
I give it until 9pm tonight before somebody compares a BDO prelim game with a PDC semi and saying the standard is a lot worse etc. Sadly this thread does attract the BDO haters. To me, darts is darts and i will watch it and enjoy it. The standard IS NOT as good, we know that, but these are not full time professionals. It's like comparing Salford City with Manchester City in some respects. But I, and many others, enjoy it so bring it on. |

Brissy already started having a pop yesterday when Clarky said Wade won't win a Worlds with an 89 average and he said 'well not this one anyway'..Party and Mardle looked embarrassed by the comment.

Bristow is a prick. He may be an all time great but he is a disrespectful numpty. The way he called Adams. Wolfie would hammer him in a game if the two played.

They seem to forget it's where they and most people start.

Mardle, for all his annoying catchphrases, always bigs up the BDO. John Part is the same as is Rod Studd. Brissy and Rodney are the plonkers. Over on ITV Chris Mason won't hear a bad word sad against the BDO yet Warriner Little will slate it
The standard in the PDC is certainly a notch or two up on most of the BDO, but it doesn't mean the BDO world championship is any less enjoyable - both produce close exciting matches, and by the token, both also produce dismal affairs. Where exactly the BDO goes TV coverage wise when the BBC drops it's patronage it is hard to say - but is is purely coincidence that come the BDO final next Sunday, it will be played really early on (17:30) and dovetails neatly with the start of play at the Snooker Grand Prix? Both are live on Eurosport across Europe, save for the UK. Could it be that Eurosport is making a pitch for BDO coverage including UK, or hilding the BDO to ransom? BT Sport surely doesn't have nearly as big a customer base (yet) as Eurosport in UK. |

Harrington and Bristow with their almost incessant rubbishing of the BDO have become tiresome.

Who is favourite. Adams?
Shouldn't O'Shea be winning a title now? |

Should be a decent competitive encounter between Williams & O'Shea to start proceedings, little to choose between them. People who don't follow the circuit may be surprised to learn that it's Silverback who is the non-seed in the match up. |

There's a more deep seated hatred I think from the original defectors it's usually them with the worst comments about the BDO. Warriner, Harrington and Bristow were all in that group and at the forefront of the legal battle I suspect.
That was from a different time with different people at the helm, the newer generations of defectors have a more appreciative view for the BDO providing them the springboard. |

Shouldn't O'Shea be winning a title now? O'Shea isn't a seed, in fact he had to play in the qualifier.s He's first game on at 1 |

Must be the most versatile commentator going, I've heard him on boxing, darts, athletics and Paralympic sports and he sounds like he knows what he's on about on all of them!
