The BDO exists in county matches every weekend. The BDO exists in pub leagues every night of the week.
To join the PDC you need a tour card. To join the BDO you need 3 darts. It won't die, it will still exist because without it there would be no players progressing through to the PDC. Haven't in the past pdc offered to buy bdo out. Bdo really need FTA coverage. |

How bizarre. de Vos 3-0 up, could barely miss, and then completely fell off the cliff.

Waites comes from 3-0 down to win 4-3! Bizarre game De Vos just lost the plot after he went 3-0 up and seemed to throw the towel in even when he was in front!

I meant pdc could basically be open to every one and their being only one darts body.
Haven't in the past pdc offered to buy bdo out. Bdo really need FTA coverage. You say the BDO need FTA. Does it ? The PDC managed very well without it. The BDO gets 3 to 4 times as many viewers as the PDC but the PDC players are the well known ones. |

Three days ago, I had little interest in the BDO champs, (not a big darts follower really), but forgetting about the quality, the drama and unredictability of live sport is unbeatable!

The PDC wouldn't want to run the county game
You say the BDO need FTA. Does it ? The PDC managed very well without it. The BDO gets 3 to 4 times as many viewers as the PDC but the PDC players are the well known ones. The reason pdc is well known is because sky promote it better and pdc is higher profile. Pdc also get loads of money from sky, which bdo isn't going to get with BT sports or any pay tv. Anyway we should know more next year when BBC stops showing it, quite possible some other Channel shows it. Saying that very surprised BBC even dropping it shouldn't even affect BBC budgets for the sport. Savings in the 6 nations and formula 1 should have been enough. |

Last year this year I reckon. He's getting as annoying as Waddell was.
![]() Depending on what happens next year TV wise, I also wonder if we'll see Bobby George next year as well. Although Bobby's delivery is not the best, his analysis is always pretty good. |

Scotty 2 Hotty the comeback king! 3-1 down for the second day running and wins!
Durrants bottle went in that final set, had his chances and threw them away. |

Scottys tournament to lose now you'd imagine. Though I think the dutch Dirk Kuyt lookalike Veenstra looked good last night could well beat Scotty dog tonight.

When Scott got it back to 4-3, I had a feeling Durrant would end up losing.

Funny momentum swings in the BDO champs this year, match on at the moment Smith V Harbour, Harbour dominated the first 2 sets with Smith throwing awful. Went off for the break and it all changed! Now 2-2 and wouldn't surprise me if Smith wins 5-2 from here.

Did anybody see Glen getting interviewed backstage after the match. The poor bloke was inconsolable and looked ready to break down. Said it would take longer to get over this defeat than the Wolfie defeat. Kudos to Scott though, twice now he's shown real bottle and hung in there. |
