Would Deta Hedman be the oldest player if she wins at the Lakeside

I believe she would. Beats Wolfie by a year

I've never watched women's darts until this tournament. Clearly the averages are lower than the men, but they do seem to be very good at doubles, similar to if not better than the best PDC men. Can someone compare doubles percentages between men and women?

Lisa Ashton is a big scorer but she got beat in the last 8 after playing shocking. It's not been a great women's tournament at all this year. I think on her day Lisa is way better than the rest.

not so sure about that.

personally think the woman's tournament is a bit of a joke. not the players but just the whole setup.

the games are stupidly short and 1st round starts one round before the QF's. just seems like the bare minimum.

Yeah, for Trina to come back to the top like this you know the standard has dropped a bit.

Detas the Jimmy White of darts sadly, falls apart when the pressure is on especially at the Lakeside!

Trina Gulliver and Phil Taylor are the only darts players in history to win Ten World titles

Trina has her title back. Some downright awful darts at times to be truthful. Deta's game went on her sadly

Wow what an achievement by Gulliver. Is it true she divorced her husband and is living with a female team mate now?

Feel for Deta but what an achievement by Trina to win her tenth title, a feat that's looked totally beyond her the last few years. Quite brilliant.

12 grand is not very much compared to other sports. I guess they don't do it for the money.

Doesn't look much love lost between Deta and Trina to be honest.

Well done to Trina for her 10th title, I'd said she was gone at the game earlier in the week! To be honest it all dropped into her lap (Ashton played rubbish against her, Anastasia and Sherrock lost first round, then Deta fell apart!) but you've still got to be there to take the chance

They are good friends and England doubles partners. I just think Deta was really down at the time.

Well done Trina though. Written off and still showing them how it's done.

Last 16 is enough for Lakeside I think. 32 players would make it a struggle to fit it all in over the 9 days. Plus their is nowhere near the strength in depth like the men

Ah that once a year moment when you realise you missed the women's final.

I still don't understand why it's only 3 sets. Should be at least 5.

Just goes to show that no matter how well you've played through the year, anything can happen on the big stage.

Don't think many people would have had Trina as a finalist this year considering her form.

Agree about Lisa though. Miles in front of the rest apart from Fallon perhaps.
