He lost a lot of weight due to doctors orders a while back but it looks like he's put it back on and some since then.

Trina Gulliver wins a truly awful game against Dee Bateman. Was a shocker. She now plays Lisa Ashton who could throw with her feet and still win.

I know we'll give Tony Green stick all week but my god he's in a world of his own most of the time commentating or commentating on a different match to the one I'm watching! Surely with BT taking the rights on full time from next year someone will have a word in his ear to announce his retirement this year so he can get a suitable sendoff. |

Shame how much Trina is gone at the game these days, was nearly as good as Ashton in her pomp.

I suppose it depends on the players - some people are red hot on their doubles whilst others are pretty poor, to say the least. |

Because he has a full time job that he doesn't want to quit. Interviewed him and asked him. He doesn't want to play full time.

Yeah if Scotty was going to try the PDC he'd have done it years ago when he won his Lakeside or the GSOD. If he didn't do it then he's never going too.
Playing the PDC tour these days isn't something you mess about at, if you want to be on TV regularly you've got to get through Pro Tour floor events and everyone says the standard is brutal so you've got to be on your game. That's excluding the costs involved playing all the events. Look at James 'Jammy Dodger' Wilson, top player in the BDO. Changed to PDC a year ago and has won about £17K in prizemoney for a year, subtract your expenses and you'd be better off stacking shelves! |

They say it costs around £25,000 a year to play the tour with all the travelling, hotels, entry fees etc. That is the whole tour of course. Only the best make a decent living from it.
I would say if you can earn 40k+ plus after expenses that's a decent living without having to work 9-5. Exhibition money as well helps. The standard is brutal and it's not easy but you gotta switch don't you if you want the opportunity to try and earn the mega money. |

Where on earth have you pulled the figure of £25k from? ![]() These days promotors will be paying for travel/entries for some players, in a return for a cut from exbos. Some take as much as 50% (Modus/MDA). Players travel on both sides of the divide, lest we forget. I echo a previous posters sentiments about Waites, the moment for him switching has passed, never built on his momentum after winning the Worlds and the Slam. |
