OK, so they have to film these things often weeks in advance, so I suppose they were hedging their bets about the snow. But really, hadn't the producers seen the recent weather patterns this end of the year? Snow was about as likely as a pair of donkeys flying overhead!

I thought it was fake snow that Tyrone had organised. I'm sure he mentioned a snow machine?

I'm confused whether that snow was meant to be real or fake?
Either Weatherfield had a freak weather event or Tyne spent even more money that he supposedly hasn't got on a load of fake snow. Both are unlikely. |

I thought it was fake snow too. I wondered why Ty had gone to the extra bother of covering the back gardens
![]() I wonder if there'll be any left on Monday. |

If you bother to actually watch the programme you would have seen they were discussing the snow machine

I'm confused about it because Ty mentioned a snow machine but when Leanne threw it in Tracy's face it looked real?

Tyrone asked if the snow machine was broken.
Chesney said yes but his mate had a spare part and it would be taken care of. It would be a suspension of reality if they pretended it really snowed. You aren't suggestion that are you?

To be fair, it was snowing in Emmerdale too!!! And when was the last time you saw carol singers in the street or indeed a Salvation Army Brassband?

I thought it was supposed to be real. They've had freak snowfalls in Weatherfield at quite a few Christmases in the past, after all.

The whole thing was very weird....it might just have been plausible if they had set these scenes on December 23rd or Christmas Eve, but definitely not on Christmas Day. |

Everybody was so underdressed for snow anyway. Sally even had a sleeveless top on when she came out of her door.

You would never hear carol singers or a brass band performing on Christmas Day not unless it was within a church for a special Christmas Day service or something.

![]() ![]() They have a talking donkey in Shrek, I think in the theatre version Richard Blackwood (Vincent Hubbard, Eastenders) played the donkey. Eddie Murphy was the donkey in the film. I said it on another thread but hey, if Fizz and Tyrone are in debt how did they afford fake snow, a sleigh etc? OK some people might do things for free if a child has cancer but most people charge the earth on Xmas Day for stuff like that. I think a snow machine would either have to be bought or if it was hired then someone would be paid to work it I would have thought? The Coronation Street episode (my dad put it on) was so twee, it was awful. I did tell my family I would happily miss Corrie but they put it on for me so I kind of watched it

The snow was in people's backyards and in other streets. Tyrone made a comment about Father Christmas knowing that it was going to snow. Maybe it's one of those soap coincidences where they had a snow machine but it snowed anyway so they didn't need to use it.
Why didn't they just show it snowing on Christmas Eve and on Monday's episode to make it at least sound like plausible weather. |

It didn't look like real snow at all. It looked fluffy like material.
If it was supposed to be real snow, wouldn't they have used a proper snow machine that makes something that least looks like real snow. |
