Nothing like a good old fashioned poll to gauge peoples opinions.

I've been kind and given it average.
They hyped up someone returning and it was Jack Branning
They made a big thing about a secret death and it turned out to be the person we knew was leaving
Someone tried to reunite Shirley and Mick again
Someone threatened to go the police about Bobby again

Stacey is experiencing a breakdown and while normally I would find this interesting, I lack any sympathy for Stacey after what she has done to Shabnam.

That was it. So yes an average rating is extremely kind.

I agree with all of that. All the different plot lines just sort of fizzled out like damp squibs.
Probably too much going on really. It would have been better to have one big story that kept everyone gripped. Killing off Arthur just seems like a cheap trick really, we all knew he was leaving anyway. As for Bobby, it's just been one long bore, does anyone care anymore ?

I enjoyed it even with the silly Beales/Mitchell's nonsense - I gave it an 8.

For not ending the Bobby Killed Lucy storyline (again, and like they promised), for Jane not going to the Police (again), for the ridiculous killing of Fatboy, for hyping up the episodes to a ridiculous degree, I voted a "4". And that was being generous.

7/10.

It was solid, it didn't let one family/storyline hog the episode like last year, there was enough suspense and it felt more like a varied ensemble cast. Basically sold its purpose pretty well and while it didn't match up to e.g. 2002 or 2007, it was highly watchable.

Christmas Day itself was good not great but the stuff leading up to it was awful.
