but that really was a really horrific, unnecessary and tragic end for a character who was harmless and a nice guy. it was disturbing and i think dtc i getting desperate trying too shock everyone, but for me that was just too far man.

Very true. I made a thread about it yesterday and was surprised that so many people agreed that it was a very cruel and horrible death for a fairly nice character like Fatboy to suffer. It's always good when Eastenders goes really dark, but I wasn't expecting them to do that.

Not exactly family viewing over xmas.
Unnecessarily gruesome and i can't see why anyone would enjoy the storyline.
Ridiculous number of murders/murderers in one square
think of something else eastenders.

To be fair their murder count is not that high, is this not the first murder since Lucy was killed? Which was 20 months ago! I can't think of any others (someone correct me if I am wrong) and lets not forget they are in LONDON.

Now take Hollyoaks, they have had something ridiculous like 8 murders in 12 months (or something) and that is only a tiny village.

Anyway as for poor Fatboy, I totally agree that is was a horrendous way for his character to go, such an awful fate

But people saying that he was such a nice guy, so friendly and harmless to end up like that, sadly many people die in life in horrible circumstances and they do not deserve such an end either, but it does happen and I can see why EE would show that.

It's tragic that such a nice guy got caught in the crossfire in the Mitchell/Hubbard feud

I was more upset about Heather's death. She'd only just started to develop into a decent character after years of being the butt of stupid fat jokes. Even Phil cried over her dead body.

Flatboy never developed despite the fact he was on the show longer than Heather. He was still calling himself Fatboy for ****'s sake! But I agree his death was horrible. I must say I'm glad he's no more since he was extremely annoying but I'm sure he'll make a comeback one day since his body was not seen on screen.

I'm really confused.....everyone is saying it was gruesome. But he wasn't crushed. The boot was untouched when Vincent stopped the bloke. How was it gruesome? Did I miss something? :/

I didn't find it gruesome and I watched it again earlier to make certain how he died. The car was picked up, the windows smashed but the boot was only slightly dented. There's no way he was crushed unless he hopped into the backseat which he clearly didn't.

I'm glad people on here don't watch shows like Game Of Thrones, Sons Of Anarchy, Hannibal, True Blood and the like. If they think Flatboy's death was gruesome they ain't seen nothing yet

He wasn't crushed, so it can't have been that horrific.

Wasn't always a huge fan of Fatboy either, in fact I'd go so far as to say that I absolutely despised him.
