I didnt even realise that Janette's standard Latin and ballroom were so poor until another poster on here pointed it out. Obviously im looking at it with an untrained eye, but surely all of the pro's should come from a proper ballroom or Latin background before being hired? Its certainly not fair on her celebrities if she can't dance or choerograph to a high standard herself.

Ive got my doubts about Tristan as well. I know he's popular on here and I'll get flamed, but Jamelia had so much potential, has obviously danced before and yet he didnt seem to be able to do anything with her. When she got up on stage during that group routine during the final she was so good, why couldn't he get her to dance like that?

Or, she could dance like that because had been training with Tristan for 3 months or so

I think Jamelia was the same as Peter - solo pop boogey-ing about is very different to partner dancing within the confines of the ballroom and Latin 'rules'.

No, she was good in the group dances at the start of the series as well. I think she was ill matched with Tristan, I think her journey would have been very different paired with another pro.

Watch Tristan's dad dancing in his salsa with Jamelia ... he looks awful. Someone mentioned on here, can't recall who or in which thread, that Jamelia had help from Joanne for her QS. I know that the pros help one another but it confirmed the rather malign view of Tristan I was nursing following that salsa.

I love Tristan as a character and an attractive man. But I dont think we have seen enough of him to see how good/bad he is. I don't think he is going to be amazing but better that he has had a chance so far.

I believe there will be minimal changes to the Pro's, as the Strictly audience likes familiarity.

Would Pasha sell as many tickets for his own tour show if he was not doing Strictly ? Probably not, so he will not want to quit, and he is popular.
Brendan and Anton are fixtures and want to sell tickets for their shows.

IF Kristina is doing CBB, so what ? She is not doing the tour this year anyway so is technically a free agent. Provided she does not do something really stupid (like shag someone in the house in front of the cameras) then the Strictly producers will not care what she does - and it keeps a Strictly link on TV whilst they are trying to flog tickets for the Tour anyway

Think you are right about not many changes - Strictly viewers don't like too much at once.

Think most dancers would stay given the chance - as you say it gives them a higher profile. Though whether the PTB want to keep them also depends on how well they get on with celebrities - not just dancing, teaching and choreography.

Wonder what Natalie will choose to do though? Tristan seems to get on with his celebrities very well and gives them confidence, but isn't his wife Australian? Hope he stays as he's so funny on ITT.

The Tour is organised by West End Theatre producers - the BBC only owns the Strictly name - so the Strictly PTB aren't bothered as it's nothing to do with them. (Apart from that, it's virtually sold out already.)

I think the 3 new pros this year have been quite successful.

It depends on how the producers think the potential new faces for next year look, but I wouldn't be surprised to see 4 new pros next year.

I don't think Jo will be replacing anyone. She has her own definite place already based on the balance of male/female celebrities.

I agree that Jamelia had potential to be ok but Tristan let her down and didnt do much for her and didnt show that potential

Yeah - Tristan only got her to Week 9, where according to the judges, she outscored Peter and then the judges controversially eliminated her in the dance off despite Jamelia clearly improving in the dance off.

I think Jamelia was like Peter, able to do choreography alone but struggled with partner dancing.

That's why they both looked great on the opening show but struggled with ballroom, but both did well in Charleston

I love Tristan. I'm not sure I'll watch next year with Aliona gone but I hope Tristan is back
