'Pulled out', again, we need to be careful with the use of terminology. Never was confirmed to be on it in the first place - although, I will admit, it did seem more likely than not.

Rolling Stone magazine confirmed it.
Axl Rose was named as a guest for Tuesday on Kimmel's website this morning (it has since disappeared).

I honestly believe it's a misdirection, he'll be on there with a performance.

Aye, we can hope that Axl will be on, but both the GNR forums and Axl's relatives seem to point to Axl having pulled out (a tweet from Axl's sister about watching Kimmel has now been deleted while the GNR forums has tweeted that Axl has had to cancel for unspecified reasons)

A small part of me - unlikely as it is - hopes Slash still appears. Kimmel recently (as in this week recently) followed both Axl and Slash on twitter at the same time so I can only imagine the two were due to appear together. Of course they could only announce one of them in advance as mentioning the other would give the game away re the reunion.

I really hope Slash (at least) does make a showing - simply because its getting to the point where they're beginning to try people's patience. Yes I know, this is GNR, the band that do this as a regular event, but a reunion has to be announced asap before people just get tired of all the hype surrounding it.

Its 100% official now, Guns N Roses are "reuniting" for Coachella, announced by the festival itself: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CX7FKGWUEAAByCQ.jpg:large

“KROQ and Goldenvoice are proud to present Coachella 2016!

Once again this year’s festival will be taking place two weekends in April, the 15th-17th and 22nd-24th, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

The lineup includes the previously-speculated reunion of Guns N’ Roses with original members Axl Rose, Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan....”

So that confirms the rumours that the line up will be Axl, Slash, Duff, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed and Frank Ferrer. Will be interesting to see whether the Dave Kushner rumour had any truth to it.

Coachella confirmed Yes!!!!
.....but the thing that pisses me off is the 'line-up', seeing Ferrer, Pitman, Fortus...even Reed riding the coat-tails of the reunion,, it isn't their party.
I'm still hoping they have absolutely no involvement whatsoever.
Appetite line-up please.

Axl is no saint when it comes to live performances but I have never heard of that happening at any GNR show, ever.”

So he didn't choose the music for the film? Yes he did
Did he have the film dedicated to him? Yes he did
Was he on set alot? Yes he was

Why not use youtube or google, there isn't a sho that axel doesnt stop for some reason.

Hardly nonsense is it unless it was your post.

No disrespect to Frank Ferrer but he seems like a Matt Sorum style pounder and doesn't really have the groove to pull off the feel of Appetite tracks like Rocket Queen and Brownstone. Alder isn't regarded as anything special technically but his groove was definitely part of the magic and sleazy sound of Appetite. Slash's current drummer Brent Fitz would be a better fit imo, he's got tons of groove and slays stuff like Civil War.

The guitar / keyboard line up sounds weird too! Slash's live tone is quite thick and works well with a more scratchy second guitar with the gain backed off, although it does work with Kushner's more textural approach as well. 3 guitars and keys just sounds like it will be muddy, which again isn't the classic g'n'r sound.

Happy to be proved wrong but from what I've seen of recent Axl, it seemed like his voice was just completely gone.

Would love to see them smash it and bring back that '87 vibe but not holding my breath.

Again, this is still absolute nonsense. A quick Google search reveals NOTHING other than Axl giving them the rights to use 'Sweet Child', which is why he was thanked in the film and Mickey Rourke's acceptance speech.

Axl (there's no e btw) hasn't stopped a show in years either.

Stop listening to the nonsense the media tells you and do some of your own research.

Izzy Stradlin (Rhythm Guitarist and Song Writer for the Classic line up) will be returning to the band eventually. It's being reported that Izzy wants to sit out the first couple of shows to make sure the band don't fall apart from drama instantly and then he'll rejoin the band for the rest of the tour.

Also currently in talks is Steven Adler (Drummer for Appetite), Steven likely won't be playing every song continuously however it's hoped that he'll be playing the Appetite songs that make it on to the set.

I doubt either will join as a full member of the band as Izzy hates touring and Steven...well, he's Steven. But I'd love to see them be a part of it.
