I can't access i-player or BBC news website - and there's an 'Error 500' message, stating 'abnormal traffic'. That's a DDoS attack, I presume. Has the BBC website had this in the past? Annoying especially as I was just about to watch the last part of 'And Then There Were None'! But, in all seriousness, if it is a proper DDoS attack on a major website like this, it's massive stuff. I'd have thought the BBC would have DDoS defences to try and prevent this. Hopefully it's just a temporary blip and they can get it back online quickly.

ETA: only lasted less than an hour - everything seems to be working again. More likely an internal issue. Bloody holiday staff!!!

I'm having an issue accessing the iplayer app on Roku - it loads, and then i just get a black screen - could this be the same issue?

I can't get onto BBC News.

I cant access iplayer from my mob app or ps4 but it works fine on pc

BBC News now confirming is WAS a DDoS (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-35204915)- they managed to resurrect the site relatively quickly, but there were intermittent problems all morning. That's not good, if hackers have targeted a massive site like the BBC.

Is Digital Text also down or is it just me?

I only briefly managed to see read the news on digital text (red button) yesterday and cannot access it today.

I have checked all settings on my Samsung smart TV and all seems well. The network link is fine and I even did a factory reset just in case and still cannot access digital text.

Anyone getting any podcasts today? This lunchtime's Home Front has still not come through.
