Motorola G 3rd
I have an LG G3 at the moment. Too powerful for me and delicate. Constantly terrified I will smash the screen!
I am going to get a Moto G 3rd - 8GB - for a fraction of the price. Has anyone else got one? How would you rate the camera and performance? It's also on Vodafone so I need to get it unlocked - will one of the £1.99 unlock codes from eBay work and will it void the warranty? Thanks |

I bought one each for both my wife and my son. They are both very pleased with it. Spec-wise they are comparable with a high-end phone that's 1-2 years old but running lollipop and without all the Samsung baggage. It's a lot smoother imo than Jellybean. The camera is fine and works well but I'm biased against phone cameras as none of them match a decent real camera.

Unlocking a new phone with EBay provided unlocking code will not invalidate any guarantee you get with the phone.
I’ve bought 2 x Moto G 1st Gen, 1 x Moto G 4G 1st Gen and 1 x Moto E 4G 2nd Gen and all perform with no problems what so ever going back now to the first Moto G over 2 years ago.

I bought my Moto G 3rd. Wow! For £89, it's just as snappy as my £250 LG G3. It looks and feels better.
Obviously the screen isn't as good, but it's a mobile. My main gripe was walking around with a mobile with glass screen protectors and a case that just makes it feel even bigger and carrying the worry around that if you drop it, that's it! I had an LG G3 before and dropped it on carpet and the screen split, so I'm glad I've gone for a lower price handset. |

The one that went down the pan did work for another 2 days before packing up but had I put the phone in a bag of rice before restarting it I think it would be still going today. That said the phone that went down the pan had its electronics fried and taking the screen from this phone and adding it to the crazy paving phone whose electronic are fine gave me a fully working phone again.

How much is the Moto g costing you? |
