Science are also saying it is a placebo effect

personally think it is down to loads of factor which you can not get the definitive answer using experiments or science.
Really think light factor, cooler weather, the placebo effect and the fact most times batsman exaggerate the movement by playing and missing and playing more defensively.
Not sure the actually cloud cover helps swing or movement but the other factors which are present during cloud cover helps bowling especially since it only really happens in england and only at certain grounds in england.
Cloud cover doesn't really help in NZ, Australia, India, Pakistan etc.
