TBH Joe Root would regret them when he as a big slump or is struggling to score centuries in his later years.
think he missed out close to 10 centuries in 18 months which is quite remarkable.
the only person that I can remember having a similar run was tendulkar during 2006-2008 where he struggled to get over the 90s in both formats.
think tendulkar said at the time the more desperate he got to get a century the more he would get out during the 90s.
you can really see the same thing with Root, it is killing him getting out for 70-80s, he essentially tries to hard when he gets to the nervous 70s really now.
Not really sure why root getting nervous or batting differently at 70s considering he making scoring look so easily when he reaches 50-60 runs.
for a top player Root conversion rate is quite poor.
