Dark clouds have swept in and will stay. It's going to be a draw most likely even though the bookies make SL marginal faves at 4/6 versus draw 11/10.
Weather cleared and 1/5 now, still it threatens though.

Looked like SL should have had a catch there. But they've no reviews left.

I realise it's not an easy job, but the umpires have got loads wrong today

Another successful review saves OKeefe

Well done Sri Lanka. Once again we see that run-scoring is not needed for great cricket.

Just saw this tweet

Dear MCC, I'd like to complain about the massive bats that have just been used to score no runs in 25.4 overs. Something should be done.

Great to see a team that was trashed in England go one to win a test match against the top ranked team in the world.

Just shows how much the prepared pitch helps the local team. Away wins should get more points in the test ranking system.

West Indies win the toss and bat

Doesn't seem the best of decisions as they are currently 7/3

India not very impressed with Umpire Gould :

48.1
Mishra to Gabriel, no run, worng'un from outside off, hits him in front, but the height is an issue, which is why Gould hasn't given this. Oh ho. Hawkeye shows it hitting. That's the fourth wicket Gould has denied India

Makes you wonder why they dont accept DRS...

Mark Wood looks like he may not be far away from full fitness in the TV game

Impressive from Mark Wood today

Must surely be in consideration for a squad place in the ODI squads

Genuine pace is always an asset

Not sure he's generally that good at one-day stuff, Tests he should be in with a shout for though definitely.

Don't think Borthwick did himself any harm today either, solid innings, and didn't bowl awfully.

That was my impression but I thought he bowled with a lot of skill and thought today

Agree about Borthwick as well

Has Wood played any 4-day stuff yet? Suspect the next 2 Tests will probably come too soon for him, but he's got to be in contention for the winter.

TMS just tweeted:

Test Match Special ‏@bbctms 6m6 minutes ago
Alastair Cook tells @bbctms that @finnysteve will play tomorrow with @JakeBall & @AdilRashid03 missing out #ENGvPAK
I struggle to understand their thinking... Ball before Finn now, surely?!?!?

He's an excellent bowler but the fact that he puts EVERYTHING into his delivery must mean that he will have strain injuries,

a bit surprised to see finn replace stokes, i have always been a bit of a fan of his but he just hasn't bowled consistently well for quite a long time, he's done well at edgbaston before and maybe that edged it for him

Sky being kind to Hales, saying that he's been out to very good balls this series, with the exception of one bad shot.

Root falls to a loose shot now, though
