probably only going to get around 81 overs bowled today even with the extra half hour
those 9 overs could end up being important on sunday with how this game is developing |

The idea should be to have a test match of 450 overs( unless there is a result earlier) less any time for change of innings. I wonder how much time is used on reviews |

Excellent stand by Cook and Hales. We now need a solid start tommorrow.
Warwickshire will be rubbing their hands for a full day on Sunday |

Appalling Over Rate from Both Teams today, 9 Overs Short. Each Team should be fined a percentage of their match fee

Some teams in League cricket have similar problems and they get punished for not achieving 17 overs an hour |

Is it 1972 ?
Don't think so but if you see Philip Larkin wandering around town send him my regards. Heat of the battle abbreviation as we were threatening to keep their lead to 50 at that point and with James Anderson and Woakes together it did seem quite likely. I've been on the asian chatrooms for all the tests this summer and the India - Pakistan exchanges are something else , perhaps its affected me being so delicate when referring to other nationalities. |

You said Englands attack was useless and needed a freshen up. Yet you also posted that Woakes was doing ok. So that doesn't leave many to be called useless does it ? The two main bowlers.
Are you now saying Englands bowling attack isn't useless ? I am certainly not a know it all but I am certainly also not one who knee jerk reacts. Obviously you know nothing about cricket if you think a side's attack consists of 2 players. Mind you , you got the bowlers rankings wrong, asked someone if was 1972 lol ,so pipe down pipsqueak, you impress no one but your mum

A tricky day for England tomorrow.
Ideally they need to have Pakistan in for a few overs before end of play, but they still need to set them a healthy target. Batting 'normally' till tea would be my choice |

You haven't answered my question as to who you think was useless. You said not Woakes yet when I mentioned Anderson and Broad you said "Did I mention them" So are you saying 60% of the attack wasn't useless now ? I am confused. I also never got the rankings wrong. I said "They had gone from 1 and 2 to useless." Never said that is what they were now.
I mentioned 1972 as somebody uses a racist slur And my mum died at a young age from cancer so she isn't around for me to impress thanks. Boo hoo. As if I would believe a word an obvious troll like you posts. You've been rumbled, jog on. |

If the wicket remains as flat all day tomorrow and into the 5th day, there's no way England will gift Pakistan a gettable run-chase and put them in before then.
I reckon it's a draw now. Unless England go nuts and throw a whole bunch of wickets away in the morning. |

quite baffling how pakistan just can not bowl with the new ball one constant throughout pakistan history really. lords awful with the new ball, manchester again awful and here awful. imho sri lanka/india and some of the weaker pace bowling attacks bowled better than pakistan this series. god knows how many times they bowled short/wide and legside/straight to cook. Cook got a strike rate of 76 in the series which kind of shows how crap the new ball bowling his. he been scoring quicker than run a ball during the new ball overs as well. not seen any team ever prefer to bowl with an old ball like pakistan do. crazy how accurate they can be with the old ball but so wayward with the new ball. |

So Cook is currently on 10,555 runs at 47.76 - world class.
He has had a wonderful year so far and yet another century would just be the icing on the cake. An excellent fightback from the lads today and it's all to play for.
