Thanks. I can hear he's batting now, so I guess he's OK

West Indies playing their favourite format against India and are 91/0 off 7 overs

No Chris Gayle , either, who's injured

Hales not doing enough to warrant a place at the moment. May as well move Root up to open and bring Bairstow in

or introduce bell-drummond at this level in his usual position maybe

Hales not boosting his chances of touring either.

Wouldn't disagree with that either..just trying to find a way to get Bairstow in the team

or maybe move buttler to open rather than root, i know it was a t20 he opened in but its something he has done and shown he can make big scores once he gets in

edit : the other option would be moeen but i really dont want to see buttler as low as #7 in ODIs

You could make a case for all these options

I suppose it's good that we have so many

Every chance the West Indies could get the record score against India

199/1 off 15 overs so far

Evin Lewis 100* off 48

Whilst I'd be very happy to see Hales dropped from the Test side, his recent record in ODI's has been brilliant, you just can't drop him yet IMHO.

Averaging over 60 at 93 this year. 3 100s in last 12 innings too, which is world-class.

hope root's not doing any damage to that ankle here

might be a case for resting him if its dodgy and bringing bairstow in for the rest of the series, especially with a tough schedule coming up

i sometimes get the impression nick knight tries a bit too hard to justify his role as "the ODI specialist"

I agree.

bit of a silly runout there

not sure you need to be taking those really tight runs and giving away a wicket when you are so comfortably ahead of the required rate

Only been following the West Indies/India game on Cricinfo

Guessing there must be small boundaries on a flat wicket

Windies made 245/6 off their 20 overs

India currently 206 /3 in the 17th needing 40 off 20 balls

root limping pretty badly on his way off there

would have probably fell just short of his 100 anyway but would also have liked the not out

pretty comfortable win and i dont even think we played that great

were a bit sloppy in the field and apart from stokes looked to be just coasting a bit with the bat

good to see we can control games like this tho

Easy win, we are genuinely good at ODI's really strong batting line-up with Wood who averages just over 20 in first-class, ODI's and Tests at 11. Bowling line-up doesn't look great on paper but seems to be dovetailing well, Obviously could do with Stokes bowling.

Emphatic win by England which was nice to see after our last lackadaisical performance at Lords in the test series.

We should have won this match by 7 or 8 wickets but the batsmen weren't quite on the ball for all of it.

Over in the Caribbean I caught the end of India's innings and watched them lose out in a high scoring close finish. Poor old Dhoni getting caught off the last ball.

Think dhoni lost the last 5 or 7 games in the last ball now.
been an awful finisher in the last 2 yrs and doesn't help that he still leaves it to the last ball but now can't finish it off in style like he loves doing in the past.
champions trophy might be the last tournament for him in indian colours.

Also looks like the crowd in America got money worth of entertainment must be the most expensive cricket game ever, even surpassing the Ashes games in England.
Cheapest ticket in America were more expensive then the most expensive ashes tickets excluding hospitality.

Not far off at all.

Good value for the crowd. Over 500 runs scored.

Another odd decision by the 3rd umpire ( Richard Illingworth) in South Africa

Overturns a not out for caught behind and the replays seem to show it hit Latham's pocket

Cue big surprise from everyone when it's given out

NZ in trouble at 13/2 in reply to SA's 481/8 dec

nice to see the pace trio back up and fit again for SA. Steyn is wearing a lot of strapping though and is down on pace compared to his best days, but still a great bowler.

Australia contriving to throw it away against Sri Lanka after looking like they were cruising to victory
206/7 needing 21 off 7 overs

Edit : Aus win by 2 wickets for their first victory of the tour after SL drop the catch that goes for the winning runs
Bhaveshgor

Actually they 2nd win of the tour and leading 2-1 in the odi squad.
